4 months is almost enough time for the SB. :D
And if it gets pushed back a few weeks...
If Andy Dalton gets us to the Super Bowl...no way in hell are they gonna make room for the guy that can't get past the 2nd round. You can take that to the bank.

Even if it’s the dreaded Trimalleolar fracture, he’ll be walking in a boot in 7 weeks. I wish Rayne all the best in his rehab and future career on a team other than the Cowboys.

BTW, pretty incredible that the these millionaires get surgery within hours of an injury when regular people merely get it stabilized and wait up 2 weeks for that exact surgery.........they are really the oppressed.

This is great news! Should be more than ready for training camp.

so 2 things here.

1. I'd like to resign AD-14 but i doubt that is going to happen unless he cannot find a starting job somewhere.
2. WE Have to draft a QB in 1st 3 rounds just as insurance, since his ankle might not healed and we need someone encase he never returns to his old self. Look at what Washington did with Alex Smith. must have a fall back plan.

1. Doubtful. He plays well, he'll find a gig. He plays like crap, well, no need to keep him.
2. Yes and no. His recovery is 4-6 months, so they'll know before the draft where his ankle is at health wise.
Alex Smith is an extreme example unless Dak suffers a setback or infection etc...
I'm all for drafting QB's every year or yearly to churn the spot/find a diamond in the rough. Not sure they'll go with one in day 1 or 2 as it stands now.

20 years ago it would have been. Dak will probably sign another incentive laden 1 year deal and try to make his comeback. Good luck to him.
I mean my risk tolerance is probably lower than Dak’s, but I would sign something long term even if I have to give up a few million a year.

Wonder if he will holdout next year. We don't want a long-term contract with a guy who just had major ankle surgery. A guy who just had major ankle surgery doesn't want a 1 year deal. Cowboys hold all the cards as they can just franchise him and make another team give up two firsts if they want to try to take him. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Lmao at even talking in theory about Andy Dalton in the Super Bowl. Cracks me up even seeing those together in the same sentence.

I have some very bad news for you about our legal system.

He'll be back making more Campbell Chunky Beef Soup commercials before anything. He wont see the field this season except from the sidelines

A guy at my gym Bob Harper made a small fortune when his friends put him on a show called "The Biggest Loser". Even in great shape he had a heart attack. Then he started doing commercials for his heart medication and made millions from that.

If Dak started doing commercials for Advil I would buy some in solidarity.
