...finally, our defense began to show signs of life. They were actually shutting the running lanes down. They gave up around 90yds to 3 RB's sharing the load. Compare that to last week 300+. Will take it.

Jaylon and Dlaw finally came out of Zombie mode. Lets hope its for more than 1 game.

Not saying>>>> we found the fix, but a positive influence to possibly turning the corner.

If his being on the sidelines meant still allowing 34 points to one of the worst offenses in the league, we're in trouble.

At this rate, he could walk out to midfield and stand on midfield all game long against the Cardinals and we'd still surrender 40.

Will you do the math of how our defense gave up 34 points. Thanks. Pretty excited to see this.

I agree. I saw signs of life too. Losing Hill hurt, but there should be some additions coming back that will bring some more life.

The run defense did look slightly better, but the secondary is still a work in progress.

If we could just quit giving up 7-8 passes every game to completely uncovered receivers … that undermines all the good things and keeps drives alive even when the defense does a good job on 1st and 2nd down.

D-line and Jaylon finally turned up.

We gave up 34 points because the defense is trash but also Dak gave up a pick 6, Dalton fumbled on the 24, special teams was trash giving up 3 points for nothing, and almost another TD to Ingram if not for a lucky penalty.

I actually think the front seven were decent. The secondary remains the problem which I’m hoping Chido can fix a bit. But you’ve got to tidy up ST and offensive turnovers as well.

Personally I say the defense only gave up 20. And a Joe Thomas personal foul away from making it 13
As I said. I'm pretty excited to see his response. I'm sure I'll have a nice chuckle reading it.

Hopefully, it continues to help.

If the defense commits a penalty how is that not on the defense?

Granted there have been times the offense made it more difficult - in every game so far. But occasionally the defense has to step up. That's what we expect the offense to do when the defense falters, so why would that only be a one way street? That's what good defenses do - they step up so the entire burden isn't on the offense.

Hah my b, I just wanted to point it out. I feel like it’s happened more than a few times where our Defense gets to where they want to be and someone always draws an unfortunate flag. They need to fix that 100%

did you watch the game and see the offense gave up 14 of those points?

Obviously not.

Well technically the offense gave up 7 pts, then spotted them another 7 with a deep turnover. But hard to judge anything from playing a lackluster offense.

Middle of the DL and coverage is abominable. Nolan's defense is not a fit for this group of players. This is a 6-10 team with status quo on defense, probably worse without Dak.

They gave up 27 points to the worst offense in the league. Jones had his best passing game of the year. We let them convert over 50% of their third downs, including some 3rd and long situations.

When you take into account how dreadful the Giants offense was, it's kind of hard to come away from that game and say, hey, it looks like we improved. Looked like the same old defense to me.
