It’s funny because Dalton has never had the success Dak has despite having AJ Green and a solid defense.

We'll, this time he'll have the same team for comparison. That will really see what's up.

Seriously there is no objective measure one can point to that justifies the assertion that Dalton is a better passer than Dak. Completion percentage: Dak, QBR: Dak, Passer rating: Dak, TD/INT ratio: Dak, Yards per attempt: Dak, Air yards per attempt: Dak. In his 10 year career Dalton has had one season with a completion percentage above 65%. Dak was working on his 4th such season out of 5. But Dalton's the better passer? You people need Jesus.
5 games from now, you’ll have excuses. Dalton will win more games.

Dalton has more playoff appearances with less weapons.

Dalton was on four AFCN winning teams and **** the bed every time he went to the playoffs. He had a great core of receivers, one of the best lines in the league, a competent running game, and a hard defense. I mean he stunk up the joint with all that help.

The Dak hate is insane lmao

put Dak in Cincinnati during Andy's time. Dak doesnt sniff a pro bowl and is probably backing up after his first contract.
Yeah those AFCN winning teams Dalton was on were completely bereft of talent. Lmao it’s like you guys haven’t watched a damn game of football your entire life lol

I stanback said the same thing I’ve been saying. Andy dalton is a better passer than dak.
Ridiculous!

If so, why is Dak better in every category: passing yards, TDs, tight window throws, completion %, lesser INTs, passer rating, QBR, QB Efficiency Rating, etc.???

It's because DAK IS THE BETTER PASSER.

You mean like the excuses people have been making for why Dalton stunk up the joint his last 4 years in Cincy? Double digit INTs in 4 of his first 5 years and then the last three in a row? He was so good he led Cincy to the #1 pick in the draft. Nice work..

that’s a pretty ambiguous statement, like saying a certain rb is a better runner than another....

Dalton is more of a pure pocket passer and doesn’t have the same mobility as dak, do they are both pretty different types of qbs.

i will say I do like daltons accuracy based on the small sample set from this week but dak was also pretty accurate too.
Hmmmm...

I would like a dollar for every throw Dak..

Overthrew..

Into the ground in front of the receiver..

late and behind the receiver..

did not throw it away and took a sack..

threw it b/w the numbers of a surprised DB who dropped it..

I would have a tidy bankroll.

To me it's not a Dak - Dalton debate, Daks injured, Dalton's under center, let's go Cowboys! As a fan my job is simple:flagwave:

Exactly brother. If Dalton is better than Dak AWESOME. Let's win some ball games! Im not saying I expect it, but I've got zero trouble supporting Dalton.

That Dalton might have better arm talent does not mean he’s a better passer. Jeff George had phenomenal arm talents. Drew Brees lacked arm strength. Guess which one is going to Canton?

Go watch the film lol.

Let’s completely statistical empirical data and rely on subjectivity. Let’s also ignore the subjective opinions of every team in the league lmao

Lots of people get caught up worrying about how things "look" rather than focusing on the end result. I don't care if Dalton has a better throwing motion and better overall footwork than Dak (and I use those only as examples and am in no way saying it's true). The results say he is NOT a better quarterback. He completes a lower percentage of his passer to his team and a higher percentage of his passes to the other team. He loses more games people claiming Dalton reads defenses better need to find something that explains why he has consistently thrown more interceptions than Dak. The math doesn't add up.

Oh yeah.. and let's compare playoff performance shall we? Dalton has appeared in 4 playoff games and has lost them all. His highest passer rating in any of them was 67.0. He has thrown ONE TD and SIX interceptions in those 4 games..

On the flip side Dak has appears in 3 playoff games and his LOWEST passer rating was 83.6. So his WORST game was 20 points better than Dalton's best.. He has thrown FIVE TDs to TWO interceptions in those 3 games. But Dalton's better.. just go watch the tape.. GTFOH!

And a hugely better D. Get all the facts, not just the cherry picked ones!!!

Yep.. Cincy's defense was top 5 twice during Dalton's first 5 years I believe.. and I think they came in at #8 one other time. Meanwhile Dak has only had one top 5 defense in his first 5 seasons.. and that year he went 13-3. And the only reason he didn't go 14-2 is because they pulled him against Philly to let Romo have one last hurrah. Dalton only led his offense to a higher ranking than his defense once in his 10 years in Cincy. That was 2018 when the offense was 17th while the defense was 30th. Meanwhile Dak has led HIS offense to a higher ranking than his defense twice already 2019 and 2020 (yeah I'm gonna go ahead and declare that there is no way the #32 defense can catch up to the #3 offense.) and in 2016 both were ranked #5 in scoring but the offense was also 5th in yards while the defense was 14th in yards.. Advantage Dak.
