I heard on the radio that Jane Slater is reporting that anonymous cowboy players are disgruntled. The current coaching staff isn't good at their jobs. They don't teach or make in-game adjustments.

MM may be out after the season but Dallas isn't getting better until they clean house and start signing higher character players.
Signing only those that should be signed is the problem. For example Byron Jones and Dak should have been signed.....DLaw & Zeke should not have been signed. I understand wanting to keep your own but sometimes that money should be saved for the truly proven even those that are not home grown. We are in Cap Hell right now.

This is on coaching??? Players are terrible and dont know how to play football. This isnt acceptable in pop Warner

To be fair there is no way the LT can know that the ball is out and Dalton shoveled it to Zeke. His job was to block the blitzing safety and he did that pretty well. He probably should have pancaked him but maybe next time.

That apparently was not a real specific designation and included everyone from Jason Witten to Greg Hardy and Randy Gregory.........
yup. All our leaders are hurt on offense. Zeke, who is considered a leader, is playing abysmal. Defense is just non-existent.

While I’m obviously not too impressed with MM and he’s been a real disappointment so far, the players are just as weak for going to the media at 2-4 one week post dak’s injury and 6 games into a new regime. Just weak stuff.

MM needs to be much much better but these players are missing assignments, out of position, out played or committing mental errors as well. It’s an overall failure but going to the media already is just a huge indictment on the entire organization as a whole

Yep. They didn't like Garrett. They don't like McCarthy.
When is it going to be on them?
When is a leader going to step up and say, "Forget the coaches. We're going to win this for us!"

I'm going to start calling the Cowboys complex Luxury Ranch, where players come to be soft and have their bellies rubbed.

What exactly is the coaching staff supposed to do about fumbles?

Hey, our players may be disgruntled, but they lack talent too!!!!!!
For sure. I think a lot of this is about the Defense and Nolan. Some of these players didn’t look this bad last year. I don’t think they like the scheme. Not talented enough to learn it or play in it. But Nolan was never really good unless you consider the ravens but look at the players he had.
He needs to stand up to Jerry. H?
Big Mac's impeccable record of NEVER, EVER standing up to or even uttering a dissenting work about his boss in Green Bay (a guy who literally was medically incompetent to perform his duties during his last couple of years as GM) is undoubtedly one of the chief reasons he was such an attractive candidate to Jerry Jones.

Cowboy fans expecting Big Mac to question authority are likely to be very disappointed.

Big Mac is as loyal a puppy dog as they come and $5M a year builds a lot of loyalty for a guy like Big Mac.

Teach the proper way to hold a football so you're less likely to fumble?
Johnson's teams went through an entire playoff season not fumbling the ball.
Tiki Barber cured his fumbleitis when someone taught him how to hold the ball tight and close to his body.

How about we hire a coach who stops rubbing players' bellies? They were calling McCarthy 'Massage Mike' or something similar because he was skipping meetings an dgetting massages. Aaron Rodgers says he had a low football IQ and the packers get better after he leaves... so what do we do? Make him our head coach. Then we let him hire a guy who has fielded some of the worst defenses in the nfl. Unfortunately, our gm/owner won't hire a real head coach, nor actually get a GM who would can underperformers, so we're going to be doing this game of musical chairs into perpetuity until they wise up.

McCarthy has brought zero value-added to game day. If the players are unhappy with his methods, he should start sitting them. I want to see a coach in control of the team, not the BS crapping up the field these days. Unprepared and unmotivated are coaching issues. Put the guys on the field who want to work at winning and let the superstars watch from the sideline.

Was the whistle blown? You play through the whistle this is like the first thing a kid gets taught playing football at like 8 years old

Since the media isn't calling out the coaching staff enough, they figured they'd help that along to keep the light off their pathetic performance. One of the things I've always disliked about many of these players is how they try to shade someone else.

I didn't see a coach miss a block, tackle, have a fumble, drop a TD pass or quit at the end of the game. Lot of players on this team to dislike.
You got a good point there. There is a lot of players on this team to dislike. Actually it's easier to name the players I do like. Lamb, Cooper, Gallup, Schultz and Martin. All the other players i like are injured for the season. This is a hard team to get excited about.

Knowing how loyal the Jones’ have been historically, I think McCarthy’s job is safe this season for sure and probably next year too.

Right or wrong Jerry will rationalize this horrible season being due to COVID and a rash of serious injuries to key players, which can’t be denied.

What I do anticipate we’ll be seeing is Nolan (and some of the position coaches) getting the boot after this season.

He fired Wade in the middle of the season.

Chan got 2 seasons, and he made the playoffs.

I think big Mike is history if this train wreck continues.

Jerry is running out of time. And patience.

It’s Mike Nolan.

He stinks.

We were all warned about Nolan.
