The Cards blitzed probably two thirds of the plays and shut down the run. Hard to be successful when the D is in the backfield every play.

Every single team we play is going to implement this strategy. We have literally no real starters on the OL. We are going to get crushed up front every game. Zeke is now slow and lazy. We have great WRs but it won't matter now because they will be wasted this season going forward.

dak hasn't played behind this bad of a line, but somehow it's daltons fault now. lmao stains.

Oh wow because Dak played behind such a different line. But keep the excuses coming for Dalton. 3 points in 58 minutes of play in today's soft league where you should score over 20 in your sleep. Yeah, nothing to see here....

Andy Dalton Benefiting From Another Week Of Reps

FRISCO, Texas – No matter how many games you've started in the NFL, every rep counts at the quarterback position.

Andy Dalton began the season as the league's most experienced and accomplished backup. Now that he's filling in for an injured Dak Prescott, Dalton's practice time with the first-team offense is critical – and he's already seeing a difference in his second week with the starters.

"I think definitely," he said Thursday. "I've played, started a ton of games, but (with) a new place, a new system, all of that kind of stuff, the longer that you're in it, another game, I feel like things are a lot more comfortable now than they were last week.

"Not saying that I wasn't comfortable, but that's just how this thing works. FOr me, I've just got to run this offense and run it how it's supposed to be run, push our guys, lead our guys and allow our guys to go make plays."

Unrealistic to expect a backup, even a veteran one, to come in and start with instant command of the offense. It takes some reps.

Eh, I think it's fair to say that it won't hurt each week he gets more reps in with the team. There is a certain continuity that goes in with being a QB. Plus, the Oline sucks. Hard to play well when somebody is coming through the line and in your face in 2 seconds.

Don't get this confused, I'm not a pro Dalton fan, but you should at least be realistic in your view of the situation.

I'm still in shock how badly he played. Given his tenure in the NFL my expectations were way higher than what I saw. I didn't expect him to set the world on fire but I certainly didn't expect the deer in the headlights player the Cowboys got Monday night. Put your big boy pants on and play like a grown man Dalton!!!

brady in his first two games with Tampa was bad. keep in mind he's had pretty much all the 1st team reps in practice before the season started. Dalton probably had maybe 1/3 of snaps during training camp? how about we give him a game or two or three like Brady had before we make judgements

every rep counts smh. Brandon Weeden started 3 games for us and lost. He goes to Houston mid-szn and gets wins. On a new team, with less reps. I expect more from Dalton, he better be comfortable already.
