Painful to watch. As bad as they looked in real time, this film shows just how bad this defense really is. And they blame the coaches. But the hc won't call them out. The dc won't. The fo won't. Peer pressure doesn't work. The losers stand united. The entire team should be made to watch this film.

If Jimmy Johnson were here, the whole team would have been blasted while forced to watch this crappy effort over and over. Then 1/4th of the team would have been fired just to send the message that such half-arsed effort will not be tolerated.

Cowboys should hold an early "bye" week for Poe, Crawford and Worley. Talent will vary, injuries will happen, but effort is non-negotiable. These guys should be ashamed that a guy fresh off the practice squad is upstaging them with his effort. Send the message and start pouring the foundation of what will be tolerated and what will get you a change of venue.

#79 was indeed kicking arse. Jaylon on the two "jogging" plays was playing hippety hop to the barber shop. No effort at all. They just ran right by Worley as he slept soundly. Lots of lazy-arse play.

If its as bad as the film shows why are the coaches allowing it?

Perhaps because it's off limits for the coaching staff to bench Jerry's millionaire chumps.

Jerry has always said he gets final say on everything, and I just don't see him taking kindly that he was wrong in paying losers like Crawford and Jaylon big bucks.

Most likely they are not ignoring it, which would explain why some of them have taken to the media to complain about the coaching.

I think the country club mentality that was instilled in this team became evident last year despite a few games where they just rolled over the other team. They displayed this form against a severely depleted Philly team when it mattered the most.

I would not be surprised if behind closed doors MM is calling them out, but cannot do some publicly on account of the FO.
After all win or lose, the sports world goes haywire on speculating what is wrong with this team. If the finger was pointed by the HC at certain players, that would be cut and dry game over, no need to discuss the matter further, deal with it.
Jerrah just simply cannot allow that, because as long as his team is in the news, they retain a stranglehold on the worlds most valuable franchise... that’s all that matters.

I seem to recall from the book, "Instant Replay", Jerry Kramer describing how Lombardi replayed one particularly bad play over and over during the team's film session and after 30 minutes or so, simply stated, "Gentlemen, this is unacceptable."

Kramer went on to describe how the whole team reacted after the film session... United as a team and angry they let the organization down. They went on to win the Super Bowl that year.

I know times are different now, but I bet that few modern day players would have similar reactions to poor performances. Too bad.

Jimmy Johnson would've forced them to watch this AND THEN DO IT THEMSELVES!! --- because these high school kids have more guts than our defense. (Notice how the Coach handled doubt/fear/complaining in the clip and was able to get the 100% he needed.) Great movie for the family and the kids.

Watched this with my boys years ago and they never forgot the lessons it taught.
Good memories.

Great Post AC! Did you notice on that first play shown how Lawrence came from behind and passed Jaylon easliy. I dont know if Jaylon gave up as much as he is just flat out slow. watching Poe, Crawford get out played by a guy from the practice squad made me sick along with Brandon Knights effort of not slamming Baker into the ground. This is just bad news and its contagious too.
