That is your guess not fact. And everyone thought Mitch was great too. Look how that turned out. Being number one doesnt make you a great QB in an NFL that is unforgiving. Dak is a known quantity in a sport that doesnt have any. His growth from what he was is excellent. But we as a team have regressed and have serious issues down the line. If he is the guy, you pay him for the short term contract, fix your issues and see what pops. If hes not, dont waste time and tag him. Either way there is zero confidence that this team will not go about doing the same thing they have done with Dak and thats waste his rookie contract that gets them nowhere.

Mitch, Baker, Darnold, Rosen, Jones, Haskins, Goff, Wentz, Lynch, Winston, Mariota and I suspect I missed a couple who were in the first round just in the past 5 years who bombed out.
