Too many holes on OL and Defense to pay Dak

On the flip side of the coin, if we pay the best player, then the holes remain open and he wont be able to do much with it anyway. It's not like he is Brady and we have Billicheat as a coach.

The Cowboys aren't going to fix all the holes on offense and defense in one draft and then no Prescott means that they also won;t have the QB that has taken the Cowboys to be the #1 offense in the NFL too. So ya you're idea just adds more problems to have to fix. Ideas like that will keep the Cowboys down for longer not shorter.

Dak is not a top ten QB. He is very average and we cant afford to pay him way above average because we need a rebuild at OL and Defense. Its time to cut bait with Prescott.

If the Boys end up with a top 3-5 pick, I would expect Jerry to sign Dak, trade back and accumulate draft picks.

And to get a head start, Jerry should be a seller during the trade deadline.

You rebuild in the draft and sign your great players. The best move this team can make is if they lose out they MAYBE reach the number 2 pick trade that for a mountain of picks and then use those picks to try and build a tolerable defense.

If Im McCarthy I put in the offense I want ,call the plays ,make this season learning it , no excuses. Hire young bold defensive coordinator who want take any lip hold players accountable. I’m not losing my job if I’m not in control. I’m a head coach ,I would take control of everything ,not let someone else do it ,If Jones doesn’t like it I wouldn’t want to be there anyway!
