My prediction for a trade

I'm not saying I want this to happen but I predict Jerry will trade draft picks for Sam Darnold. It's a "Jerry move". Jets will want to unload him if they're going after Trevor. Jerry will get him to continue feeding the delusions that we can win the east. If this happens and we give up more than a 3rd for him I will be done with the Cowboys for the season.

But I have a gut feeling and a hunch Jerry is going to do something stupid. And I think the stupid thing is Sam Darnold.

Won’t happen. If Sam Darnold had a super bowl ring - they might consider it, but they really are all in on Dak. They’ve tried repeatedly to get a deal done but Todd France is using Dak and this negotiation to boost his clientele base. Dak will end up getting a big contract and Todd will look like he’s some sort of hero & super agent... when in reality he’s a loser that got lucky.

I’m actually thinking a lot about Fitzpatrick for some reason. Even before Dalton went down. The guy just slings it but that’s what this offense was built for. I know we can’t protect right now but if the get Martin and Knight back in a couple weeks it could work. I want to tank , but won’t be surprised if that trade happens.

I would hate to see Darnold go from one bad franchise to another. So I'm glad this trade will never happen.

I’ve always got the sense he’s buddy buddy with Dak and just wants Dak to put up huge numbers. I haven’t seen efficiency, or balance since he’s been play caller. Seems like his goal is to have a 5000 yard passer and 3 1000 yard WR’s.

I wish we had a real GM who could trade our assets and completely rebuild this dumpster fire. The Joneses are more likely to trade the picks so we can win a game or two. I have a feeling we will trade are middle round picks for band aids.

I hope we don't pull another Matt Cassel. Some of the problem for Dalton was limited snaps. Any new guy would have even less snaps. You can't plug and play QBs mid season.
