They are in denial. There is no way the went into this season claiming it would be a learning year. In fact, they said the opposite in the summer, how they believed they had a team that would. It was sold that McCarthy was the guy to get them over the hump from where Garrett couldn't.

Now veggie head Stephen and his delusional father are staring at total chaos largely because of their decisions and now they have to go into full spin mode and claim this was expected, the learning curve.

Then we will waste 3 years on a guy like Nolan because these two are too stubborn to admit their mistakes.

McCarthy gets a full season and offseason / training camp and a chance to bring some of his guys in.

Maybe if we werent historically bad. This goes beyond just needing time. Every single player on the team has gotten worse under this regime.
