Those stats don't mean much other than he is targeted a lot. I remember Dieon Sanders season stat lines. Looked like he hardly played. But I like Diggs. He's a keeper.

Diggs is blowing away the first round CBs so far

Okudah (2)
Henderson (4)
Terrell (1)
Arnette (1)
Gladney (2)
Igbihnogonye (2)

His 10 passes defended show he’s always around the ball. I have to think at least some of that is coaching along with his great ball skills.

The next closest on the team is four guys with 2. Last year for the season Chido led the team with 14 passes defended and Jaylon was second with 9.

that’s incredible!

he’s been targeted the most of any player in the league this year (55) times and has allowed 8th
most completions (32). But a lot of those completions he’s been right there.
None of that is coaching, nobody else is even close to making plays

He transitioned from WR to DB and has only played CB for approx 2 seasons as he was also injured.

His mindset is awesome and he’s a fighter and competitor. When Chido gets back he will be not be as exposed every game, but due to injuries to both Brown and Awuzie— and the failure of Worley— Diggs has undergone a “baptism by fire”

I have a lot of hope in this kid to be a great one

nice but always a flip side the offense may not be targeting those other guys because they have their guy on lock down and Diggs is easier to hit one on.. you know if he truly was locking his man down they would throw less that way..its not like we have something better on the other side..

best thing coming from philly loss is Diggs got some confidence, he needs that because year like this where they pick on him all the time could ruin plyer,..

He's flashed at times, but overall he's not been very good. You can see the talent and athletic ability is there, he's just so inexperienced. I think he could be one of those guys who takes a couple of seasons to really put it all together. In the meantime, he has the ball skills to make QBs pay for terrible throws, which is what he did last night.
"inexperienced" LOL

um what rookie isnt until he baptized under fire, you either come out the the other end a better player or fade out..

I think they have put him on an island and asked him to do more than you normally would for a rookie. He has been beat but most of the time his coverage has been solid

He will always be hampered a little by his lack of top speed. Most WRs can and will run by him if he isn’t always focused and ready. Some guys without elite speed are very successful. Others it catches up with them over time. We were fortunate....his lack of speed is why he was there in the 2nd round.

If we want to have a really good defense, we still need a number one CB with the speed to run with the speedy receivers, along with an above average back end safety to complete the secondary. DTs and another LB are vital to the front 7

unpopular opinion, but I would love to pair him with a top 5 corner in the 1st round. I know we have D-Line issues, but if the BPA is corner>D-Line, I'd gladly take it.

Opposing QBs are really targeting him.

He's given up a couple but he's holding his own.

I like his aggressiveness, he's always looking for the ball.
The guys who actually get picks sometimes get burned
Jump the route and you are wrong and you get burned
But he’s playing very well

actually its what most mocks have us doing take the best DB top 10 wherever we pick and that Wade kid is in a lot of Mocks

not sure which look like atop 5 CB through, none seem fast thats foor sure..might be able to trade down a bit and still gret one top 10 pick up another 2nd or 3rd rounder or mORE..

Would love that scenario of a trade down.

The philly game was a great example of where Diggs is at currently. He gets burned on occasion but can also make plays on the ball. if he can do a better job limiting those big plays he gives up every week he will be one heck of a CB.

Bottom line is that Diggs is getting burnt all over the place every week. But he is a rookie and that is expected. The good news is that the kid has confidence and an eye for the ball. He can catch. Something Jones couldn't do.

I like Diggs. I didn't expect him to be Everson Walls, but what I've seen from him gives me hope he's going to turn into a pretty good CB.
Walls was leaky the first year or so, but he was a ball hawk.

I like Diggs. He plays like a rookie with upside. Looked like the NFL light was starting to turn on last week with him. Still going to be a roller coaster ride with him but I like what I see so far.

But folks here haven't watched any of those guys and they've seen Diggs get beaten so that means Diggs sucks. :muttley:
