.Never put any player above the STAR.....Never!!
If you want those types of fans well you know where to find them here!

P.S.Don't be surprised if Goldie ends up in Big D....he has that Troy look doesn't he now!

I'm waiting for Jerry Jones assessment of how he looks in the shower! That should tell us everything.

The only thing Dak has in common with Justin Fields is that they both have African American fathers. Justin was actually rated higher as a recruit then Trevor Lawrence. From watching them both play Justin is a more accurate passer but Lawrence has the stronger arm. Athleticism is actually close with a slight edge to Lawrence. I have my concerns about both quarterbacks because their college teams are superior to other schools. From listening to the draftnicks they will go 1-2 so we will see.

If you like Dak you should like Fields.

Fields is Dak with a little more upside.

I'm not a fan so far. I could change my mind but i'm not there yet.

I'm not calling him a bust. I just see a guy that has a ceiling of being a really solid QB.
And a lower floor since he's never played in the nfl. Granted a lower salary as well.

Depending where we end up and it does look like top 5 or at least top 10, I just see them going on the D line unless Sewell the OT is there then I could see offense. They aren't going to let Dak just walk and hope (because I don't care what any one says, a rookie QB is always a crap shoot) a rookie can lead them. Also Jerry doesn't want to wait for a chance at a playoff/Super Bowl and whether the Dak haters agree or not, Dak gives us the best chance.

Also the Jets best chance at a win is this week against New England and Jacksonville has to be underdogs in the rest of their games, so there is your 1st and 2nd picks or Mitch and Justin no matter how you look at it. And Atlanta and Dallas both have possibly one or two wins left in them and if we are tied then they draft before us because of head to head. Anyone think Atlanta will pass on a QB, not me. Then there is Washington who is doing their best to tank and definitely need a QB.

For those thinking we take a QB, well could happen, but more likely is we go CB or DE or OT unless we trade down and that is a real possibility.

Sorry just trying to keep it real.

Modern rebuilds only take a few years, if you actually have a plan and stick to it. I'd much rather that then continue with mediocrity for twenty more years.
I don't have 25 more years. As screw that loser attitude. IMO

I'm 66. I have to ask my doctor if "rebuild" is right for me too.
I don't ask my doc. I feel my 7 surgeries, 4 broken bones 3 concussions, slipped disc, dislocated shoulder, and cracked skull. Luckily I'm like Jaylons and my nerve still twitches!! Lol

I think we are way to premature on this. We need a top 2 pick to ensure we could get one of the guys they would even consider drafting. Then they can weigh trading down vs trading Dak.

What he has is a California surfer dude look. lol He looks very little like Troy, both in his personal features and his playing style.

As for putting a player ahead of the "Star", that's just your personal claim when a person thinks differently than you do about a player. If you were reasonable you would acknowledge that a fan might actually believe Dak is the best guy to have at QB, but because your goal is a narrative rather than reason that won't work for you.

I know you will throw your 2nd grade level insults at me, as you have done before, which is nonsensical because I think there is potential, and risk, with both the idea of paying Dak, and with letting him go and taking a shot on a rookie. That's the reality of it.

Aye yai yai! Makes me feel lucky! And that includes the one "procedure" they call it to remove the stents from my kidneys. In the doctors words, "If I don't have to put you under, we can be done in 5 minutes."

I said, "Yes." Never say, "yes" at this option.
The nurse advised, "If you have a happy place you better go there."

The first order of business is to insert a 1/4" tube in your urethra followed by a camera, grabber, snipper tool. Suffice to say it would be better than any torture device in use today.

I don't see the Cowboys starting over and taking a QB. I could see them taking advantage of the draft position and making a trade with a need QB team. The extra draft capital could kick start rebuilding their defense.

It will all depend upon whether Dak signs before the draft. Dak will be tagged, but IF he hasn't signed we have to draft a QB.

If Goldie is T. Lawrence we are not getting him even at the 2nd slot. The J.E.T.S JETS JETS JETS are not winning one game less known 2. They will have the first pick and they are not sold on Sam D.

So you want more of what you've gotten? Accepting mediocrity and never winning a Bowl just so you're not bad for any prolonged stretch is the biggest loser mentality of all. Winners bite the bullet and make hard decisions that don't have instant gratification.

But sure, they should keep doing what they've done the last twenty years and expect different results...

You must have been a chess geek, because if you ever put on a jock strap and busted you're butt on the field, you would never want to lose!

I played basketball and I always thought, no matter what, we could pull a win from any situation.
Down 12 with 120 seconds left? We can hit 3's and clamp down like no other!
It worked... once. Never stopped thinking like that though.

I'd rather trade our pick, get a few great picks for next year and ride Dak. We just need to rebuild the D. The offense is fine. I cannot see us taking a QB in the top 3 picks.

It's going to be must-see-TV if they do end up with a top 2 pick.
No question.
Unfortunately we'll be inundated with the same threads over and over about it, but phrased differently, so there will be that monotony.

We were picked to finish 7th out of 8 teams on our district by Texas Football magazine one year. We went undefeated. Good thing we didn't tank and play our JV to get ready for the next year.
