If you are on Team Draft a Quarterback, Cincy is a weird one. Conventional wisdom says they shouldn't take a quarterback. They just took one. And they definitely need the OT who appears set to slot there. But if I were them, I would think strongly about Steve Walshing it. And now with Burrow having a serious injury .....
No chance that, even for the Bengals, they will be drafting a QB in the top half of this year's draft or for the next handful of drafts for that matter. The ownership, the coaches, the team & the city are 100% behind Burrow and rightfully so. The kid is a class act and will be one of the best QBs in the league for years to come. In a perfect 'Madden' world, his helmet would look solid w/ a star on it. From everything that I've read, he tore his ACL & MCL and did significant damage to his PCL but is expected to make a full recovery. Read where it was noted that his injury, though still bad, doesn't compare to what Bridgewater's knee looked like and he's doing quite well for himself, IMO. Oh, and he spent this entire past week, post-injury, attending team meetings while waiting for his surgery date to arrive.
Back to the topic at hand, his team needs to protect him and start building a defense because the current one makes Jaylon look like the best lb'er the NFL has seen over the past decade. On the plus side, he has solid weapons minus the aging & shell of his former self AJ Green. Mixon is a top 10 RB, Boyd is a very underrated WR and Tee Higgins looks like one of the best picks from last year's draft. Not sure what is wrong w/ John Ross, because he can't seem to see the field two weeks in a row, but he can flat fly and surely could be a weapon if used right. With that being said, and if I was a betting man, Cincinnati goes OL & DL heavy in this year's draft.
