Ah yes.

The Lions, Commanders, and Vikings, perfect organizations to model yourself after. They go along well with the other model franchise mentioned today, the Jaguars.
Perhaps instead of aligning ourselves with the bottom tier franchises providing us some relief in futility we should aspire ourselves to the upper tier franchises searching for solutions to meet their success.

Jerry will be remembered as the great marketer and innovator and then the 3 Super Bowls under jimmy and Switzer . But his legacy as a football mind in irreparably damaged . Even if he wins a super bowl before he passes , the 26+ drought will be inexplicable for the most valuable franchise in the world . Truly sad .

I heard a crazy stat this morning and verified it to be true.

Since 1996, there are only 4 NFC teams that have NOT made it to the Super Bowl. Yep, we are one of those. The other three are Washington, Detroit, and Minnesota. Only three haven’t made it to the conference title game.

How many times over would the GM have been fired if he were anyone else? We can keep blaming anyone we want. Players, coaches, etc... The proof is in plain sight.

Yep thats what happens when you hire idiots like Garrett to run your franchise for 15 years.

Garrett was only the HC from 2011-2018. 9 years not 15. And he obviously wasn’t running the franchise. He was a puppet for Jethro and his Cheapskate Son.

And was one of the best hires our dysfunctional organization with more success during his tenure than the rest of the previous HC’s cumulatively this Century.

Our ownership had made some terrible decisions and hires this era. Garrett wasn’t the worst. They just held on to him longer mostly because he had more success than their other bad decisions.

The most enraging aspect of the Jones Regime has to be it's steady value ramp-up as opposed to won-loss aspect ratio. A golden turd pile of 25 years duration.

Talent matters most.

Good coaching is needed to assemble the talent but without the talent we’ve seen good coaching humbled time after time.

Only when talent on both sides is equal can coaching matter. Other than the occasional upset.

49ers have had 6 gms since 96.

They've been to the superbowl 2 times this past decade. They fired Baalke who was the gm in 2012 when they went to the sb after the team struggled. Then they hired Lynch who rebuilt the team for their last sb appearance.

9ers were a flash in a pan. Now I’d love that flash for the Boys, but yeah... 9ers suck

Some discovered this when he let Jimmy walk . Then there was the embarrassment of the late 90s. You know (I handle everything from jocks to socks)
It won't end until he does.

Pretty much every team other than NE has been a "flash in the pan". With rare exception that is all the capped era allows........ The league is so much less interesting now b/c it lacks truly great football teams. The reward for drafting well and good coaching is now free agency which allows lesser teams to raid your talent. Never liked it. Imagine if they implemented this system in the workplace. It would be like the top sales person having to share their commissions with the worst sales person b/c its not fair that one person should have more than another. Thats the kind of idiocy at play in the NFL.

True with the exception of the teams with great or Elite QB’s which remained serious contenders.

The cap era has magnified the need for Elite QB’s.

For example ; Teams like the Colts with Peyton, Steelers with Rothleisburger , Saints with Brees, Packers with Rodgers and Seahawks with Wilson remain contenders throughout their careers.

And the teams now beginning to emerge as new contenders is because of their new QB’s who may become the Elite ones in the next era.

The NFL because of the Cap era has become more of a QB driven league with rare exception of a Generational defense which the Cap will eventually dismantle.

I haven’t been sleeping, I’m quite aware and have posted similar threads over the years. It just seems worse every year

I think Jerry Jones is calling plays again like he did in 2010.

All those fake punts are so ill timed, poorly executed, and strategically flawed I recognize that pattern

Once again, Jerry was so confident the Cowboys would be successful, he started his micromanaging, imposing, credit stealing, "look at me" B.S. again, right on cue.
