Why does the narrative always have to spun into a negative connotation ?? ("cowboys bad, cowboys let him walk")

Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe he didn't actually want to play for us anymore ?
Not only that but I like how people pretend like if he was here everything would've been fixed lol. Like he would've been a "diamond surrounded by trash" lol.

Yeah, he wasn't happy with how he was being used.

Cowboys should have given him more respect when he was here and made him a priority.

Maybe wait on Jaylon and Zeke one more year since they were still on their rookie deals and that extra year would've saved the front office from those 2 terrible contracts.

So yeah, it was a bad move by the Cowboys front office.

Beasley is still balling.

Cowboys saved almost 30 million dollars (which they needed for the log jam of players that needed deal in 2019/2020) and STILL ended up with 3 receivers better than Beasley on the roster in 2020

What exactly is the issue here ? (lol)

I agree. Nobody in their right mind would trade Gallup, Amari or Lamb for him. Well I say that but you never know on this site......

What do you mean priority?

Cole Beasley from day one quit on this team. Anyone else would've cut him and let him go home. This team gave him plenty of respect....far more than he gave them.

All he does is get open, make plays, moves the chains, and score touchdowns every now and then.

He's a great player and one that shouldn't have been let walk away.

Huge mistep in letting him go.

Why are you going here on Beasley.?

Man..Cobb had nearly 900 yards in 2019 replacing him.

Now we drafted CeeDee to replace Cobb and he has superstar ability.

Does Beasley have superstar ability?

Absolutely not.

When you jump up and say stuff like this..

It smacks of what Jerrah constantly does..be sentimental and over sign and pay a player who is not worth what the Cowboys should be paying.

Lee is another one like Beasley as he never completes a season and constantly cripples the defense and is over paid and under produces.

And you want Beasley back?

Stop it.

If you want to keep it to yourself..do it.

But Beasley blasted the entire organization when he left becuz they tradedj for Amari and intended to resign him and pay him.

Amari has now been Pro Bowl for 5 out of his 6 years in the league. Probably will again this year. Beasley?

He will get a Participation Trophy in 2020.

I just do not see the Bromance..Bro.

So let me get this straight. A player that

1. Spent game weeks going online bragging about how he can't wait to test the market and possibly leave
2. Didn't like how he was being used
3. Was arguably only the 8th best player on our offensive

should of been a higher priority ? Yeah sorry but no thanks

Not only that he was arguably only the 8th best player on offense.

I don't know how a solid #3 (who was easily replaced by both Cobb and Lamb) is garnering this weird/fake narrative of cowboys kicking him to the curb

Beasley is a good player but was a bad fit for us at that point.

Provides no blocking. Poor deep threat. Not a thread wide. No run threat for jet sweeps. Requires crisp execution from the QB.

Should have been on a pass first team going 3 wide in its base with a QB who could execute as fast as he could to get the full value out of him.

I think Brady would have loved him.

Beasley didn't bring a lot that we needed, and we didn't have what it would take to make the most of him.

There were reports that the Cowboys didn't want to extend him when Beasley's agent approached the front office for an extension.

Yeah, sure he felt the disrespect. And the social media antics was an effort to get more attention so that he could cash in more. Or maybe he was truly just pissed at how they were letting him walk without trying to get a deal done.

Not sold that Cobb was a good replacement. He went quiet too many games and the offense became more pass heavy, which ultimately did not help the team and they failed to reach the playoffs. Beasley was always operating under a run first offense.

Lamb is definitely an upgrade obviously. But he's a 1st rounder and is supposed to be a future 1, rather than a 3rd WR. We may have been able to go defense in the 1st this year and draft a WR later. A lot of good rookie receivers this year.

I liked Beasley plenty, but it is what it is. We let him go because we didn't want to pay him. Last year Cobb did well to replace Beasley and this year CeeDee blows him out of the water.

Radical thinking there, but upon reflection.... yeah I'm going with CeeDee Lamb also.

Good points.

Still think he was a big player with this offense.

And he did catch that game winning 40 yarder (approxomately) against NY in the final regular season game in 2018. He should have been given more freedom to go deep.
