The Good: There is a lot here this week so hopefully I get it all so let's start with the offense. The Cowboy's offense pretty much moved the ball at will and looked like they did at the beginning of the season. A lot of players are red hot right now like Dalton, Cooper, Gallop, and Lamp. This combination is basically unstoppable even Zeke looked like he wanted to show everyone he still has game. The Cowboys put up another big number yesterday scoring 37 points but could have easily been 50 (I'll get to that in a minute). Now the defense, although it didn't start out so well the Cowboys pitched a shut out in the second half with relentless pressure and forcing once again three more turnovers. The Cowboys defense has forced 10 turnovers in the last three games and that leads the league. Randy Gregory my God was a man on a mission yesterday and was all over the place, and the hustle that I saw from many down linemen to get to the football, even Jaylon Smith was always around the ball and made some nice plays. The Cowboy's special teams were also solid, Zurlien made all his kicks and Nicewandy is a huge surprise this year, they also forced a fumble that was almost recovered by Goodwin which would have been a great play. One more thing the Cowboys are playing so well that they're even getting calls from the officials. Hurts was down on that fumble and everybody knows it but that's the stuff you get when you're playing good football, bad teams don't get those calls.
The Bad: Read option, read option, read option does anyone know how to stop this?? The Cowboys for as long as I can remember can't stop that play and that's going all the way back when Demarcus Ware used to play for the Cowboys. The Eagles (like every other running QB in the league) just kills the Cowboys with that freaking zone read play. The Cowboys fell behind early and the defense was clueless in the first half giving up many big runs and a huge TD pass to that little maggot Jackson.
The Ugly: I said earlier that the Cowboys could have scored 50 yesterday well they would have if they could get the damn football in the endzone! Three times yesterday the Cowboys had first and goal inside the 10 yard line. One time it was inside the one and still had to settle for a field goal. I don't know what the hell happened on that bootleg by Dalton but there wasn't even a receiver to throw to. Kellen Moore has to do a much better job of play calling in that situation and that's not the first time he's looked clueless calling plays inside the 5.
The Impossible to Very Possible: Well it doesn't get any easier than this folks if the team with no name loses (which is very possible) and the Cowboys win the Cowboys will be hosting a first round playoff game. Who would have thought that the Cowboys had any shot a few weeks ago but now their chances are very very good. I will say this, if the Cowboys get into the playoffs I won't be looking at their overall record going into the game but what I will be looking at is the Cowboys will go into the playoffs hot winning four in a row after they beat the Giants and they'll be one of the hottest teams going into the playoffs which is a great time to peak!
