The most Cowboys thing to happen next Sunday

Come on, we're all thinking it. Incidents of "almost had it" have been the experience of fans old and new with this team. Counted out then come roaring back only to fall short or get out in front and then collapse at the end. Either over the course of a season or within a single game we have to have. We've done it all, lol.

What do YOU think will happen next Sunday? We win and then Washington is down their whole game only to win on a Hail Mary on the final play? A "gift" from the officials somewhere in the mix (what would the Goodell-Mara syndicate want, lol)?

So does the "Cowboys" thing happen next week or won't it? Give your predicted scenario either way.

This game reminds me of the greatest game I ever saw and it just so happens it was between these two teams and the last game of the season and the Cowboys weren't fighting for the playoffs but the division and homefield in order to defend their title and it became known as the "Emmitt Game" and the only time John Madden ever went into a locker room to greet and shake a player's hand.

It was the hardest fought game these two teams have ever had and they were exhausted at the end of it. So was I, my wife had stopped watching the game and was watching me. She told me I had tears streaming down my face at the end of that game and I did. It wasn't just Emmitt putting the team on his shoulder, it was the entire game and as much as I wanted to win, all I could do was look at those Giants, spent to a man and think there wasn't a loser to this game. And I feared I would never see this again and I never have. That was when it was the old game, a real slugfest up and down the lines and not the track meet the game has become.

I am on a roll, I was all in on that game yesterday and some of the old fire got rekindled, the Cowboys will win. Don't know about those pesky WFTers but they swept the Cowboys and that doesn't sit well with me. If the Cowboys miss it, they will have deserved that.

Well then we would just use that momentum to have a great 2021.

I think Dallas wins the division and goes on to another one and done playoff appearance. We end up with the 19th pick and Jerruh and company run around talking about how successful the year was considering all the injuries we had when all they really did was beat teams that will be drafting in the top ten.

I don't really care much honestly. The fact that with a new staff and all of 2020's glory this team found a way to claw some wins is pretty sweet in my opinion. And I'm a defense kinda guy, so the idea that this defense has shown a pulse is also encouraging.

Those are all probably equally likely outcomes.......the least likely is to go past 1 and done to 2 and done. 0% chance after that. But it usually never works out well when we have to depend on someone else losing to get in because we didn't take care of business in the previous games, you know, because they weren't "must win" (according to some experts here.) :lmao:No idea how many times I've got to say that every game needs to be played at max effort as if it is a "must win" if you're serious about going to the tournament....right Woods!!..or is that against your contract?

Dak decides to come back early for this game, Jerry rewards him with a new guaranteed contract, Dak rebreaks leg coming out of the tunnel and retires.

1990 all over again.
Came down to a Monday night game, Cowboys won on Sunday to get to 7-9 with Troy out and babe lauftenburg doing his best to be the worst back up QB in the NFLs history.
The saints were 7-8, needed to win because the Cowboys owned the tie breaker, were down most of the game.
Last play of the game, vs the Rams, Morten Anderson hits like a 50+ yard fg on the last play to eliminate the Cowboys.

Washington wins
Cowboys win

don’t make the playoffs and hurt our draft position

Doesn’t get more “Cowboys “ than that
***, I don’t get the draft position. Dilemma. It is what it is. You don’t do things on purpose to get something you don’t deserve
