Zeke needs 63 yards for a 1000 yd season

Why? Does 990 yards vs 1010 make a difference? I don’t care if he gets a 1K or not, it’s a random number that for some odd reason some people put a lot of emphasis on. What I would have liked to have seen is him be more effective in every game this season, not just a handful, and that ship sailed months ago.

1k yards is a solid feat. No way around it. Especially in a year where he's struggled to struggle and still get 1k yards with a bad run blocking team for most of the year? Impressive. Hope he gets it.

1,000 yards means nothing. It used to back when they played 14 games, but not now.

You only have to average 62.5 yards a game.

Yeah but nobody "averages" 62 yards a game. You are going to have some games with 100 yards and some where you get completely shut down. If you can go out there and get 65 yards each and every game at least? I'd say that's a solid year honestly.

I recognize that it's not the milestone it used to be but all things considered for Zeke to get there this year will be a noteworthy achievement. I think as long as we stay ahead or keep the game close so he can eat in the 4th quarter he will get it no sweat. A lot of his lower numbers this season have been a direct result of not being able to run much in the 4th which is typically when the dam finally breaks against most defenses.

I mean people can try and belittle the 1k yard standard but as of right now there are only 5 guys with it in the whole league.

Out of the top 20 RB’s with the most yards, zeke only has 2 players that have a worse ypc average than him and many of those have worse O lines. Regardless, he’s getting paid as the best RB in the league and with or without a top 10 O line his performance in relation to his salary aka demands have been pathetic. You could get the same production for a lot less money and is why you don’t pay RB’s that much money, especially when they can’t be difference makers on their own.

No, they would say he is a much better value and is why we should have never drafted zeke 4th overall or paid him as much as we did. It’s not that hard to understand....for most of us.

Guys did it when the schedule was 12 games, then 14 games. But that required averaging 83 yards and 74 yards respectively.

Not saying he's having a good year compared to others. I'm saying to be having a bad year....coming off of Covid 19.....bad offensive line play....to still get 1k yards is impressive. Never questioned could you get his play for cheaper.

You know as well as I that it's really not about Pollard .. it's about hatred for Zeke.. It's not rational but hatred seldom is. If it wasn't Pollard it would be somebody else.. Basically it's anybody but Zeke for them..

OH I'm well aware its not about Pollard. Its anyone other than Zeke. Hell if it was Alfred Morris they'd flock to him.
