nope i will take the points!

all these fluke take a ways are make people ignore how bad this D have been playing against guys like brandon allen & nick mullens
Agreed that once they stop getting all these turnovers (which are mistakes by bad players) that they will be exposed, but Daniel Jones is the poster boy for turnovers, and I dont see it stopping this week.

Either way, their offense is non existent at times and I dont think they can outscore us.

You're definitely right with your point, but it doesnt end this week. Probably next.

Dallas' future lies in the hands of the Egals. Not worried at all about them defeating the Gnats!

I’m definitely not optimistic about this team if they make it to the playoffs and am not impressed with their 4 game win streak for several reasons but that doesn’t mean I don’t think they can’t beat any other team. Enter the Giants.

When I saw the line, I couldn’t believe it. The Cowboys are favored by 3 points, that’s it! The Giants offense is putrid. From their O line who just gave up 6 sacks against Baltimore (and ironically have been getting worse and worse since Columbo was fired) to their receivers, RB’s and QB. I would take Dalton over Jones every day of the week. I see a similar game to what happened in Philly. We should dominate their O line and our secondary should have no problem covering their receivers. They don’t have a true #1 WR and we all know JG can’t scheme if his life depended on it. Add in the fact that their QB led the league in turnovers last year and although he’s cleaned it up the past few games I think under the pressure we’ll bring there is a good chance we get a couple INT’s or fumbles.

On to defense. Overall, their defense has been pretty good but a lot of that comes from their interior. They are stout in the middle and are supposed to be good against the run but Baltimore just gashed them for 249 yards! There’s no reason we can’t do the same, even half that would be adequate. They have zero edge rushers, ZERO. People complain about our secondary but the Giants secondary is ranked about 5 teams lower than us in yards given up due to passing and they aren’t far above the Eagles in the same category. I see the same type of success through the air as we had against Philthy.

Literally the only advantage I see them having is their DC but even their defense hasn’t been as good lately and has been getting shredded by teams like us who throw the ball a lot. Their last 3 games have been against the Cardinals who beat them by 19, Browns by 14 and Baltimore by 14.

I don’t want to hear about our first game against them, it was a cluster with Dak going down and I don’t want to hear about “divisonal games are always close” because we were blown out by Washington twice this year, just destroyed Philthy and have beat the Giants 7 (SEVEN) times in a row now, about to be 8.

I always keep up with what our divisional rivals are doing (especially the Giants because my ex roomate is a Gnats fan and I hear his moaning all the time) but I also visit every teams fan forums, websites, etc the week before we play them.

If you are feeling pessimistic about this game (as I do with most teams we play not in the bottom 25% of the league) then check out this little nugget, it will make you feel better about what our defense will do to them. I couldn’t believe half of these stats, they truly are amazing. How an offense in todays league can be this bad is mind boggling.

Having said all of that, I expect a blow out but I won’t be waving my pompoms about how great this team is and how they’ve turned a corner until they beat a team with a winning record, not teams in the bottom quarter of the league. Our playoff fate will rest in Washingtons hands, we’ll take care of business in a big way.

Kick your feet up this Sunday when watching the Cowboys, it should be a fun game if you don’t like to stress and like straight up domination.

Go Cowboys :flagwave:
The Giants are really bad. I still can’t believe the Talking Heads at ESPN were pumping them up after they beat the Seahawks. Jones is awful. They will regret not drafting Herbert. Judge reminds me of every other Belichick underling. Now that the Cowboys have a chance to win the East, the division sucks again. Go figure.

While I agree, I think it won’t matter. Washington is better than Philthy if Smith plays.

Our secondary has a hard time covering all WR's. I wouldn't use that as evidence. Lewis and Woods cant keep their hands off guys. They wake up and get a PI on the way to the kitchen. Thompson is garbage. Awuzie has been toasted and layered with nutella for years. Wilson and Diggs are the lone bright spots IMO. Brown is serviceable.
Well our secondary is smack dab in the middle of the league as far as yards given up from passing and we’re going against a team without a single #1 WR and the 31st worst offense who has managed to score 10 less points in their past 3 games combined then we did in our last game.

Yes, against playoff caliber teams our secondary will be a huge liability but against the Gnats, we’ll look like all pros. Combine that with our D line hammering their crap O line and even if our db’s can’t cover their scrub receivers, the QB won’t have time to let them get open.

Yeah, that’s a legitimate concern but I could see that game going either way. I wouldn’t be surprised by a Washington blow out and I wouldn’t be surprised if Philthy won a close one. I think Washingtons D line will be the key here, other than Smith playing or not.

I remember the last time they played, Philthy went up by something like 17 real quick and then Washington brought the house. Wentz was getting mauled on almost every play. They were definitely getting pressure but Wentz is an idiot and could never get rid of the ball when he should have, I’ll be curious to see how much of a difference it makes with Hurts and his mobility.

Yeah man, I actually heard part of that when I was driving into work. Speaking for the small segment I heard, they were only speculating whether or not they would sit a lot of their players who already have nagging injuries because their is no point in risking them further harm. The first one that came to mind was Fletcher Cox, obviously his absence would be huge, the tide changed in our favor as soon as went down.

On one hand, I understand and I think our fans would say to sit our players who had injuries or even our better players so they don’t risk injury. Hell, people were calling for MM to shut down zeke a month ago when they thought we had no chance at the division. On the other hand, it’s a division rival, Pederson is possibly coaching for his job an if the players are any type of competitor they’ll want to get out there and play for themselves and to spoil a divisional rivals playoff hopes.

It will be interesting but I can’t say I would fault them for protecting their “investments”. Lurie is normally a hands off owner but I could see him making the call on this and I guess that all depends whats more important to him, pride and beating Washington or keeping his better and injured players on the sideline.

Lol, they’ve scored 27 points in their past 3 games combined IIRC, that’s 10 less then we scored last Sunday. I don’t think this team is good, well the offense is pretty good, but the Giants are still a dumpster fire.

Who knows though, they beat Washington twice this year and Washington blew us out twice. This entire division is 10 lbs of crap shoved in a 5 lb sack.

Interesting. IMHO, keeping his better and injured players on the shelf for next season seems like the smart play. A big bonus for them is screwing Dallas. People forget how bitter and obsessed those sad sacks are. While I agree that most of the Philly players have that defiant pride, that tiny, extra edge (spark) needed might not be there.

No way it'll be a blow out. The Giant's defense is it's strength. Not as good as the old Giant type defenses but you're not going to just run them off the field. I expect a close game with Dallas hopefully pulling away late as they did last Sunday. At least I hope:facepalm:

Yeah but you have to remember the Giants and Eagles may be bigger rivals due to their proximity but we don’t see or hear as much about it in Texas.

Everyone wants to beat us but a lot of Eagles fans and NY fans live and work with each other. The few Giants fans I know always want to beat is but they hate the Eagles more. I think the Commanders/Cowboys rivalry is our biggest rival in the division and the Giants/Eagles is the other.

Basically, I don’t think any of that matters now. Philthy won’t want to help us or the Giants and what would please them the most is ruining the divisional rivals playoff chances that are lined up directly across from them and they can let the Cowboys/Giants settle it.

Baltimore literally ran them off the field to the tune of 249 yards. Granted, Jackson got 80 of them but that’s still a lot of yards.

Aria, 2 things here...I was checking out the lines before our game against Philly which by the way we were dogs in that one. They (Vegas) also had our game vs. NY posted at some of the casinos and it was NY -1. I haven't checked lately but if what you saw is now the Cowboys -3 then everyone and their brother is betting Dallas and that's when you go the other way. I'm a terrible gambler which is why I quit years ago but this game IMHO will be down to the last team who has the ball. Hope it's a blowout but the line is the line. God I hope I am wrong.
