Yeah but you have to remember the Giants and Eagles may be bigger rivals due to their proximity but we don’t see or hear as much about it in Texas.

Everyone wants to beat us but a lot of Eagles fans and NY fans live and work with each other. The few Giants fans I know always want to beat is but they hate the Eagles more. I think the Commanders/Cowboys rivalry is our biggest rival in the division and the Giants/Eagles is the other.

Basically, I don’t think any of that matters now. Philthy won’t want to help us or the Giants and what would please them the most is ruining the divisional rivals playoff chances that are lined up directly across from them and they can let the Cowboys/Giants settle it.

While I agree with a lot of what you say, we’ve seen a lot of examples of obsession from Philly, or at least from a sizeable group of fans and media. I’m three hours away from Philly, and they have an official “Dallas Week”, something they don’t even have for the Giants. Yeah, NY and Philly are bitter rivals that have proximity, but Dallas is the Evil Empire. They get more hype than Philly, who won a SB recently, and Dallas hasn’t done DIDDLY. That GRINDS on the drunken, snowball-with-battery-throwing, Santa-booing, Road-Apple-chomping mob from Benfranklinville.

Hope we win and Skins lose, but no matter what happens, 7 billion Chinese just don’t give a ****!

Lol, c’mon man, you know I’m the furthest thing from a Kool Aid Cowboy which is why I said I doubt they would win one playoff game but didn’t rule it out. It’s just that the Gnats are that bad, did you read the link I provided? How on earth could anyone think this will be a close game using sound logic?

Again, I know any team can win on any day but I’ll be putting a large chunk of money on this game and will save another large chunk to do live in game bets in case the Cowboys go down by 7 and I can double down with better odds. I’ve been burned before, especially when I’m this confident about a bet, which is the only reason I have a lingering doubt which is nothing more than superstition.
I would never wager my grocery or rent money on this team. I'd be living in the street the next day.

I’m definitely not optimistic about this team if they make it to the playoffs and am not impressed with their 4 game win streak for several reasons but that doesn’t mean I don’t think they can’t beat any other team. Enter the Giants.

When I saw the line, I couldn’t believe it. The Cowboys are favored by 3 points, that’s it! The Giants offense is putrid. From their O line who just gave up 6 sacks against Baltimore (and ironically have been getting worse and worse since Columbo was fired) to their receivers, RB’s and QB. I would take Dalton over Jones every day of the week. I see a similar game to what happened in Philly. We should dominate their O line and our secondary should have no problem covering their receivers. They don’t have a true #1 WR and we all know JG can’t scheme if his life depended on it. Add in the fact that their QB led the league in turnovers last year and although he’s cleaned it up the past few games I think under the pressure we’ll bring there is a good chance we get a couple INT’s or fumbles.

On to defense. Overall, their defense has been pretty good but a lot of that comes from their interior. They are stout in the middle and are supposed to be good against the run but Baltimore just gashed them for 249 yards! There’s no reason we can’t do the same, even half that would be adequate. They have zero edge rushers, ZERO. People complain about our secondary but the Giants secondary is ranked about 5 teams lower than us in yards given up due to passing and they aren’t far above the Eagles in the same category. I see the same type of success through the air as we had against Philthy.

Literally the only advantage I see them having is their DC but even their defense hasn’t been as good lately and has been getting shredded by teams like us who throw the ball a lot. Their last 3 games have been against the Cardinals who beat them by 19, Browns by 14 and Baltimore by 14.

I don’t want to hear about our first game against them, it was a cluster with Dak going down and I don’t want to hear about “divisonal games are always close” because we were blown out by Washington twice this year, just destroyed Philthy and have beat the Giants 7 (SEVEN) times in a row now, about to be 8.

I always keep up with what our divisional rivals are doing (especially the Giants because my ex roomate is a Gnats fan and I hear his moaning all the time) but I also visit every teams fan forums, websites, etc the week before we play them.

If you are feeling pessimistic about this game (as I do with most teams we play not in the bottom 25% of the league) then check out this little nugget, it will make you feel better about what our defense will do to them. I couldn’t believe half of these stats, they truly are amazing. How an offense in todays league can be this bad is mind boggling.

Having said all of that, I expect a blow out but I won’t be waving my pompoms about how great this team is and how they’ve turned a corner until they beat a team with a winning record, not teams in the bottom quarter of the league. Our playoff fate will rest in Washingtons hands, we’ll take care of business in a big way.

Kick your feet up this Sunday when watching the Cowboys, it should be a fun game if you don’t like to stress and like straight up domination.

Go Cowboys :flagwave:

Is this a Platinum Guarantee? I simply must know before I wager my next dinner.

All those "this game is not a must win" earlier this season that so many posters mentioned - well, turned out they were "must win" and now our fate lies in someone else's hands. The NoNames gonna beat the Dirty Birds, or rather the Dirty Birds will lose to the NoNames and a Dallas win will be a punch in the gut after Sunday night ...too bad we won't see the reaction on Jerry's face. He'll blame it on Stats Prescott's injury regardless of the awesome play of Dalton and write a check for ziollions of dollars to Stats P for multiple years of more mediocrity and awesome garbage time stats.

We’re not good enough to look past anybody. Like most games, it’ll come down to turnover differential. We’ll see what happens.

conference games are always tough. expect the same for this one. i think dallas wins. nothing we can do about wft or philly. both of them blew it big time with their first round qb's. comes down to the better backup.

Aria, 2 things here...I was checking out the lines before our game against Philly which by the way we were dogs in that one. They (Vegas) also had our game vs. NY posted at some of the casinos and it was NY -1. I haven't checked lately but if what you saw is now the Cowboys -3 then everyone and their brother is betting Dallas and that's when you go the other way. I'm a terrible gambler which is why I quit years ago but this game IMHO will be down to the last team who has the ball. Hope it's a blowout but the line is the line. God I hope I am wrong.
The line is already down to -1 since yesterday morning when it was -3 at one point. As I mentioned, the only thing that scares me is the line, lol. It seems like normally when I am this confident in a bet, it goes the other way but there have been plenty of times I’ve thought that so I didn’t bet out of superstition and lost some great opportunities.

Usually I do live bets to take my chances on better odds but sometimes you can miss the boat which is what I’m worried about here. Ideally, I’d love to see the Giants score first and THEN go big on the Cowboys but I’m afraid if the Cowboys get the ball first and score then I may never get as good odds again which is why I’ll probably put half down before and save half for a live bet if the Giants go up.

This will be the worst offense we’ve faced but unfortunately Washington is the 3rd worst offense and we saw what happened there. Anyways, the Giants O line is one of the worst in the league, much worse than ours IMO, and they don’t have a single legitimate threat at WR or RB. Sure, they may get a few plays here and there but they’ve scored a total of 27 point over the last 3 games and I’m supposed to believe that they will outscore our offense?

Their secondary is barely ranked higher than Philthy and you saw what we did to them. They have no edge rushers and are one of the worst in the league at pressuring the QB and sacks. How exactly are they going to consistently stop us and hold us to less points then their second worst offense in the league?

I don’t see it happening, the only thing working against me is the spread is so small. Either it’s one of the best gifts I’ve seen this season in the betting world or I’ll be eating a heaping buffet full of crow which I’ll do but hopefully won’t have to.

How so Cern? That’s one of the biggest myths that come up every year.

Were our games vs Washington this season tough for Washington? What about our last game against Philthy? Looked pretty easy to me. What about the fact that we’ve beat NY 7 (S E V E N) times in a row?

I’m not saying it won’t be close, it is the NFL, but I don’t expect it to be nor should it be.

Good thing we’re facing one of the worst O lines in the league along with the league turnover leader from last year who isn’t exactly doing a great job at protecting the ball this season.

Rainy, windy, temps in the 40s. Dalton should be familiar with those conditions.
