The saddest group on this board are garrett defenders. Its embarassing.
To me the saddest group is those who don’t target the real culprit the last 25 years. And never take the foot off the peddle. But they get distracted by shiny objects and relative seasons.

We’ve had 5 HC’s since our last championship come up short . And working on the 6th. But yet we hold more vitriol towards the one who actually had the most success during his tenure while influencing a better overall direction for our dysfunctional organization despite whatever coaching flaws , frustrations and disappointments we had.

The Bar this era has been lowered by one person. And the SOB is still here. I don’t see any improvement yet.

We lacked toughness with Garrett. We didnt with Bill. Jerry is at fault for that?

Imagine mentioning garrett with jimmy and parcells with a straight face.
In the context it was presented applies.

Only 3 HC’s in Jethro era have left the Cowboys in a better place than when they took over. Jimmy, Bill and Jason.

While Bill resurrected our franchise from the lowest point in Jethro era after 3 consecutive 5-11 seasons and set us up for more success , he didn’t have anymore success than Garrett did. No division titles and no playoff wins.

But yes, everything ultimately falls on Jethro. Cause the buck stops with him. We aren’t going to have tough teams when players don’t have to answer to the coaches.

HC’s aren’t going to make the impact they should here. Bill was no exception . Jethro impacted his efforts as well.

Regardless, toughness isn’t a measurable fact or stat. Just an impression or opinion.

You're not?

Post #146: "Garrett had everything to do with Romo’s success."

I'm not going to argue with you on this. Me and quite a few other members here think he sucked while you loved (and apparently still love) the guy.

Signing out on this one. I can get a better debate talking to a house plant.
It’s the same minority of Lynch Mob fans who are always trolling Garrett with rhetoric without any facts that would support . But I enjoy taking them on with relentless and sound arguments.

And there really isn’t any argument. His numbers stand on their own merit. He had more success winning more games, division titles and playoff games than the other HC’s this era. The rest is simply speculative rhetoric bordering on trolling.

Basically taking out the frustrations of this era on Garrett instead of where they should be.

Wow. Welcome home if that happens. He should be a Cowboy for life.

In the end trolls don’t want to argue against facts. They just want to spew their dribble.

I haven’t watched many NY games this year and I know Jones has been out with injuries several games but Jones looks like he’s improved over last year.

And this is without Barkley. I’d say based on what I’ve seen thus far Garrett is helping.

Garrett had one losing record in 9 years.

McCarthy is 1 for 1.
