The organization obviously told Pederson to tank that game. Pulling Hurts in the 2nd half and then trying to explain it away that they want to get a look at the young QB. Well what the hell is Hurts? Hurts was pissed as you could see him on the sidelines saying, “this is just wrong”. The rest of the players I’m sure felt the same way. The team was told to tank so that they could get a higher draft pick. Sure they have a higher draft pick but it has cost them the locker room. The players are going to be pissed and it’s going to cause problems for the team going into next season. This is why you don’t tank. The Eagles FO has blown it big time again.

Seeing lots of pissed off fans, commentators and even former Eagles players. Good, the Eagles can suck it.
They smeared their own team’s reputation while knocking the Giants out of the playoffs and cheapening a division title for the WFT. Aside from them drafting in position number six, this is a win, win, win.

I'm finding it hard to feel sorry for a 6-10 team not getting the help they needed to make the playoffs.

All of this belly-aching about nothing. Let's create a half dozen more threads about it. :muttley:

What player are they drafting at #6 that is so much better than the player they would have drafted at #9?

Nobody should complain about this. Both the Football Team and the Giants tanked at the end last season. The Football Team was not going to give up the 2nd pick against us and the Giants wanted to keep their top 5 status.

The issue is Sunday Night Football got embarrassed because they made the Eagles/Football Team their prime time game. I would selected Arizona/LA or Chicago/Green Bay but I guess the league wanted the East Coast markets in prime time.

Clearly Michaels and Collinsworth figured out what was going on pretty quickly. Listening to them try to tap dance around what was obvious to everyone was entertaining and awkward at the same time. The GB/CHI game should have been flexed.

It was a bad look for the Eagles, the NFL and SNF. I wish the league would do something.

Lmao at thinking pulling a guy that was 7/20 for 70 yards is tanking. Hurts is terrible. Did people really think he was going to win after watching him this season?

This is completely untrue. The Giants could have had Chase Young but pushed for the win in OT against the Skins last year and lost him as a result. They then played all their starters for the entire game in week 17 last year, and the game was competitive until the end. Plus Shurmur was coaching for his job.

There was no tank like last night - and there never has been one before.

So you think that Sudfield gave them a better chance to win? Don’t be ridiculous.

And WFT were playing horrible and did everything they could to hand back a game that Philly was begging them to take.

There never has been a tanking of a game before Sunday night's by the eagles?

Clearly, you didn't watch the game.
Hurts ran for 2 TDs. He could've ran all night.
Should be a couple nice Giants vs. Eagles ga es next year.
The HCs may scrap at the 50 in pre-game... lol

I can’t wrap my mind around some of the posts here indicating it’s not an advantage to draft higher in the draft. These people have lost their minds.
I don't get it either. It's like saying what's the difference in winning gold, silver or bronze in the 100 meter dash in the olympics. The difference is only 100ths of a second.
