If you think Brees, Rivers, Roethlisberger, Brady, and Allen are better than Dak, then you are truly clueless. This is exactly why I ask people to put this stuff in writing. There's no way you've watched those guys play this year if you think this.

Is Maxwell even a real player?

Allen is certainly better than Dak as he has elevated his team each year as the starting QB whereas Dak has only elevated his personal stats.

Lol no.

Allen's best year is this year, by far. They happened to trade a first and more for Stefon Diggs. Funny, that's almost exactly the same thing Dallas did with Amari.

Allen has a better team!!!! Now i will say he himself has improved some of the flaws he had in his game. And as much as i like Dak ill say Allen is for sure on Par with him and probably better now. But Allen hasn't elevated his team. His team has went through a growth process and has gotten better. They have one of the best defenses in the league and that in part is why they are where they are.

Allen hasnt held them back and has made plays. alot of those were with his legs and of course getting Stephan Diggs hasn't hurt either

What Drew Brees did 8 years ago is irrelevant.
Of course it is when you’re rating or ranking QB’s in the league. Their entire body of work is definitely part of how they become described as Elite.

And Brees is part of why they are still a threat and contender regardless if he’s regressed over the years or even this year. That history demands respect.

The question is about who is better right now, and it's tied to what Dak's contract will be.

So no, historical body of work is not relevant. If that was true, you might as well say Dan Marino.

I'm basing it on Goff's extension. He got $110 million guaranteed on a four year contract but then the Cowboys offer $110 million guaranteed on a five year contract a year later? And I 100% think Dak is better than Goff.
That's the problem you can't they gave him equal to Goff guaranteed money he wanted that type money and 4 years which would've been more money than Russell Wilson it's a sliding scale here bro you have to look at the numbers

You continue to attempt to frame the discussion to fit your narrative.

I certainly don’t recall you stating this ranking or rating was solely based on this years performance or results?

Surely you don’t believe when fans and analysts rate or rank QB’s in Elite status they strictly only referring to this season?

Not sure why you bring up Diggs but since you did, when Allen got Diggs he continued to elevate the team W-L record.....when Dak got Cooper the team's W-L record has been average or worse. Again, I would rather take Allen over Dak any day of the week.

It's not the only thing I base it on but I'm not gonna waste my energy writing paragraphs about Dak's accomplishments because people's minds are mind up. I just posted that one thing to show even some of his lesser years aren't as bad as people think.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts.

It usually falls somewhere more in the middle.

But you’re right. It’s basically a subjective discussion.

Ultimately the Elite QB’s will be inducted into the HOF. The others will fall more into my “ best of the rest” category.

Oh, you're a "wins is a QB stat" guy.

Guess Deshaun Watson sucks.

Okay, so then Dak's rookie 13-3 record is not relevant and since then he has led the team to a 29-24 record.......not much above average so as such Dak should be paid as a middle of the pack QB.

No, that's what you're doing.

It's about the contract and the contract is about right now and the future. You made it about entire body of work for no reason.

As would any sane person.

“I like this exercise. It's fun to ask those who say "Dak is average" what 10 QBs they'd take over him. Make them put in writing that Matt Ryan or whoever is better. They never do.

It's Mahomes, and then a group of Dak, Wilson, Lamar, Watson, and Rodgers in whatever order you'd like. Either way you spin it, Dak's a top 6 QB.”

Here’s the original post I responded to. Nowhere does it mention this only about this seasons production and results?????

No, it's not. Neither is last year's record.

Do you think Deshaun Watson should be paid less than Jacoby Brissett?

Are you so thick that you don't understand it's not asking "who has been the best quarterback over the last decade?"

It's obviously about right now and moving forward, because the thread is about the contract...which is about right now and moving forward.

Well, considering so many want to point to crediting Dak for wins but not for losses......

As for Watson, tough to compare him to Dak given Dak was given what was the NFL's premiere offensive line and stacked offensive weapons whereas Watson has been screwed over by a piss poor HC and GM who destroyed that team.
