It's a team sport..

There is enough evidence out there that paying a non elite QB doesn't help in the W/L department. Especially in terms of winning championships.

If we had a QB that could change games and carry a team it would be different even though those types struggle as well with a big contract.

Just wait until Allen, Mayfield, Murray and Jackson come up for new deals. They haven't accomplished anything yet either.

I'm thinking Tad wants Dak to get the biggest contract possible for selfish reasons, not because it benefits Dak. Maybe Tad has plans to avoid getting a real job for as long as possible, and that depends on how big of a contract Dak can get.

I found that part very telling.
I think many snowflakes here are going to be really disturbed and frustrated in the coming weeks leading up to the draft.
Just do a cursory search of this teams cap contracts and current roster situation.

Put yourself in his place. One bother in the grave from a suicide, and recently, and his other brother being called out for what every other QB in the NFL is doing ands is going to do. He feels his family is under attack. What would you do?

And before you answer that, think about Dak's history going all the way back to high school and how his family, particularly his Mom, always had his back and believed in him. His Mom and a brother are gone, think this brother might be feeling just a little defensive and overprotective?
