Has anyone noticed that ex-Cowboys DE Robert Quinn has only 2 sacks after signing with the Bears for
5 year 70 million with a 30 million guaranteed signing bonus ?

- Struggling mightily in the Bears 3-4 scheme this year, I get the feeling after next year if he gets
similar results, he won't last long with da Bears.

- Some guys just are systematic and cannot play and fit in just any scheme. Some guys are just far
better with their hands on the ground in a 3 point stance , ..than rushing standing up.

- And that's gonna even be critical here ..strongly assuming it's a new DC here with the Cowboys. o_O

Yeah, Griffin didn't do too well either with the Vikes.

Fill the team with young players on rookie deals and veteran players on one year deals and be prepared for a pleasant surprise. Players play for money. Get enough of them playing for money at the same time and you just might win the super bowl. Remember how promising it looked during Dak and Zeke rookie deals? It has been a down hill slide ever since. We were the youngest team in the league and it showed. Now we are a pile of over paid hot garbage.

Quinn hasn't had a real serious injury to speak of & the only explanation for his inability to rush the passer after he had a strip-sack on his first Bears play is possibly the fact he doesn't fit their D.

didn't Everson Griffin have 8 sacks with the Vikes his very last year with them ? -and I remember him giving Tyron Smith fits in our 2019 game vs Vikes.

He free lanced, exposing his teammates in hopes of getting that one last big contract and was allowed to. They shipped Griffin out when he tried the same. They benched Melton while leading the team in sacks. He should have been benched. Looks like the Bears either expressed not to or he was paid and chose to play within their system!

I thought when we surprisingly got EG in free agency, we'd use him in the same sense where he was most comfortable and effective in the Vikes 4-3 scheme,..
I dunno what the hell we were trying to do with Griffen or Dlaw … seems we had them flip flopping sides every 2-3 snaps, ..had them dropping in coverage, ..had them standing up as 3-4 OLBs,
instead of hands on the ground,.. and both looked confused as when to rush and when to drop in coverage lanes and never seemed comfortable at all.
and seem like everyone on our DL line was having trouble vs run with these gap assignments,.. That's why I cannot wait to get rid of Nolan, Tomsula (and the DB coaches) .

We made the right move. Will give the FO credit for not giving him dough.

Was a very good decision by Dallas to pass and get a R4 comp pick.
Randy Gregory is likely a better player going forward.

Most guys on 2nd contracts disappoint and 3rd contracts of note are nearly all bad.
Some guys have earned that right by being underpaid with your team and others like Quinn are easy calls.

Quinn was never going to be effective without an offense that could get them the lead.

The fact that they play a 3-4 or whatever doesn't matter. They just aren't in enough passrush situations.
