Thank you all for participating in the Gameday Menu and thanks
@Reality for allowing it on the Fanzone.
One for the road!!! Today as part of our New Years resolution diet, we are having grilled chicken breast, an asparagus, mushroom and onion medley. Served with a cup of chicken enchilada soup.
Salud and Go........ whatever teams you're rooting for today!
Ha! For some maybe not so odd reason, yesterday night I was thinking how much I was going to miss the Gameday menu more than everything but the game itself.
I loved to see what fellow fans were grazing on and imbibing in. In many cases their menu was based on the weather, teams we were playing, mood, etc. I found that fun and fascinating plus they gave me some great menu ideas!
After destroying my body like I typically do during football season and the holidays, I’m trying my first ever 3 day juice cleanse starting tomorrow. I ordered it from some local company, should be delivered today. 6 bottles a day spaced apart with a bottle of cashew milk (ew!) for when I need a little more energy.
I’ve done 24 hour fasts and struggled to do that. My feeding habits are equivalent to a great white on land, I’m a machine and have a borderline eating disorder whether it’s healthy or not.
Anyways, my wife has done 5 day cleanses and swears by them. She said it helped reduce appetite in the long run (which I noticed even with my 24 hour fasts), noticed a difference with her skin, reduced sugar cravings and overall increased energy when it’s done of course.
Normally I’m not into fad diets, they’re just temporary fixes IMO, but after destroying myself and with a snowboarding vacation coming up in 2 weeks that will be heavily infused with trash food and alcohol I figured this couldn’t hurt. If successful, I’ll do another one when I get back then it’s time to try to bulk up and put on 10-15 lbs.
I have serious doubts whether I can do this or not, especially since I plan on continuing to work out (bumping up leg day so I’m not doing them on the third day when I’ll probably be ready to pass out from lack of energy) but I’m looking forward to the challenge. No pre workout, no protein shakes, no egg whites, nothing but juice.
Thanks for starting this thread Ranch, I just killed 20 minutes of cardio fat fingering my phone! GL with your diet buddy.
