I dare someone to say that to my face.
Richard???? Hahahaha over Quinn? Tf are you smoking? The boat has already sailed but would have loved to hand the keys to Richard but we let him go for Nolan. See what he can do. All he did here was call plays from Marinelli's scheme and oversight. This wasn't his defense and control, though.
The DC gig here is the plum job in the NFL right now. You get to work for the Dallas Cowboys and still have no association with Prescott whatsoever.
He was a DC for two years with one of the most talented defensive rosters we've seen in recent times. He isn't proven. His recent teams were notorious for giving up huge leads.
What was quinns successful past before he went to seattle? How do you become successful without the OPPORTUNITYSo would you rather hire a guy without a successful past? Who’s your guy?
Plus imagine how good your defense looks in practice and training camp. Getting to beat up on Prescott all the time.
makes for an easy off season.
His unit was tops in least points yards allowed
and most takeaways in Seattle as a DC
So how is that not "proven "
His unit dominated high scoring peyton manning in super bowl so how is that not proven?
And when you're talking about recent, you're referring to him as head coach of ATL
Whereas hes not being hired here as an HC but as a DC
That's like wade Phillips gus Bradley etc.
These guys fit coordinator roles than they do as HCs.
The reason ATL went to the SB was due to their Defense. So is this guy any good? Is it one of those "great coordinator but not a good HC" situation? I know he took the Falcons to the SB but more recently he was the HC of a team that could never hold a lead and seemed like the defense gave up a lot of points
A little. Even dabbled around with it in Seattle and a bit in Atlanta.Did Quinn have a history of using multiple fronts in college at Florida?
So I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but I don't know much about Quinn. Would this be a good hire? The rest interview virtually. Quinn flies in.
Done deal.
I'm stoked.

To be fair, that defense had two bookend pass rushers in Avril/Bennett, solid linebackers in Bobby Wagner/K.J. Wright, two quality safeties in Chancellor/Thomas and an elite Richard Sherman in his prime. In Quinn's first season as defensive coordinator, the Seahawks led the league in fewest points allowed, fewest yards allowed, and takeaways with 231, 4,378, and 39, respectively, to become the first team since the 1985 Chicago Bears to accomplish the feat; the Seahawks went on to win Super Bowl XLVIII.
I will take this.
