Should Dallas try and bring in Richard Sherman as a FS?

He’s lost a step as a CB but he might have a couple more years in him as a Safety. Could be the mentor this young 2ndary needs.

I want a guy that runs in the 4.4s not a 4.60 or worse in his dotage. FS needs great range.

Sherman's strength as a corner is his ability to be physical because he's pretty slow. The free safety in the system Quinn is likely to use has to cover a lot of ground. Sherman might be able to play strong safety in it, but not free. I think if he comes here, it's more likely to play corner.

Why do we like taking guys and notably OLD guys and change them to S?

I think Sherman is still a very good corner, with excellent ball skills. He never had speed to begin with, where he should age fine. We love him at corner, but he is still going to cost a lot to sign.

recommendation like that are really so much support of one guy wanting to help another guy get a job.

It has little to do with present ability or if his style fits a scheme.

Sure..sign him. He's a name guy who is about done.

Not exactly a real endorsement.

I am also going to assume that you did not watch the game we had against Sherman this year. If memory serves me correctly it was one of our very few wins and Sherman was a big help to us. His refusal to tackle was key to our victory.
