Yes they will. This is what’s is wrong with all the rebuild cry babies. Even Jimmy Johnson had us from 1-15 to 11-5 in his third season. Look at the Dolphins they rebuilt everything and by the second season they almost made the playoffs. It’s takes three years. Jerry just has never hired the right team around him or even the right coach. It’s been 26 years since we made it past the second round. Let that sink in... we are has beens.
Blow this thing up and bring in Lincoln Riley he wants to be here. Jerry it is now or never.

Cool story. Wake me up when the Dolphins win the super bowl or the jags trade Hershel Walker

Yeah, why would Jerry want him? He’s more than happy with 8-8 or 9-7. He’s a doosh.
Nail, head, direct hit.
7-9 to 9-7. That is all Jerry wants. He figured out the Formula to be releavent enough that people will watch. He won’t allow us to be bad enough to draft a franchise changer. Maybe he is too scared that he will screw that up too.

What are you talking about? Dolphins will win a SB before us. We are run by a moron GM.
You think Jimmy got lucky? Jimmy was a genius, a football savant who lived , breathed football. He was obsessed with success, he invented the trade value chart, he made more moves than any other team, he built the culture of winning in Dallas. He was a master motivator, psychologist. He was daring and believed innovation with all going for it on 4th downs, fake punts, throwing out of the end zone. He actually tanked in 89, took the roster to the bare minimum and brought in his guys who would fit the team and culture.
He did not get lucky. Jerry Jones should be worshipping at Jimmy Johnson every morning counting his lucky stars that Jimmy saved his sorry butt.

like I said, no logic

Dak should get credit for the win but not the blame for the loss

All QBs are responsible for some losses but you’re saying Dak is the reason we haven’t reached the Super Bowl. Now stop tap dancing and answer the question!

I was wanting the hire to be Meyer so bad last year. He was there for the taking and when he said on TV: “You don’t pass up a job like the Dallas Cowboys”, I knew it could be done.

If it wasn’t Meyer, I wanted it to be Matt Rhule, who is also a very good coach IMO.

Alas, Jerry hired neither. Wanted experience at head coach. You’d never know that Jerry was the same guy that once hired Jimmy Johnson straight out of college and won two Super Bowls with him.

I get so mad at Jerry.

youre ranting at the wind. I said the jags won’t turn things around (compete for a super bowl) very quickly. I didn’t say anything about jimmy getting lucky, I’m inferring that the jags would need a comparable windfall to even be in position to do what he did, and that the Dolphins almost making the playoffs isn’t proof that the jags will do anything of substance.

The Jaguars aren’t that bad. They were competitive all year. Also, Minshew is no slub. The dude can play.

Yeah, some of the Washington fans want to get Minshew as a bridge to a franchise QB to be found later.

You wanna bet on that?
As crazy as it might seem I would not be surprised if they were a Super Bowl contender within three years. The quarterback has to be the next Dan Marino/Patrick Mahomes but they do have the cap space and the division to be good. The Jaguars management leads a lot to be desired after because they don’t pay there stars but I like their future better then the Cowboys.

The AFC has all of the young quarterbacks Jackson, Mahomes, Allen, and Watson. Wow!!!

Jets actually have a great foundation of young players with a ton of picks to include the #1 pick. Could be Jimmy Johnson 2.0

I am a big Jimmy fan, first of all.

But none of those things bring guaranteed SB wins without the Walker trade bringing in tons of draft picks and free agents (and if he was such a genius why didn't every free agent and draft pick turn out great? But I digress).

And no trade happens without the Vikings leadership agreeing to it, that is the luck part of it.

If he makes the jags relevant and consistent within a year or two and we're stuck with Dak for 5 more years while missing the playoffs each year...well nothing changes I'll be the same lol

they'll be better than the Cowboys by year 3 at the latest

Maybe. But from Spurrier to Saban to Holtz to Kelly, and on and on, the NFL is littered with successful college coaches who flopped in the NFL.

The Johnsons and Carrolls are the exception, not the rule.

We'll see....
