The Raiders are on the list and they took Derek Carr in the second round. Even though he hasn’t been getting it done with the Raiders some wanted to trade Dak for him. This was my response.

The grass is always greener when fans don't like a player. I try not to pay much attention to people who don't know better, but when NFL teams miss on so many QBs, that should tell us how hard it is to find one. Doesn't mean you don't have to try when you don't have one, but only that you should value what you have.

Plays in a much tougher division to be fair. Carr and Prescott are very similar quarterbacks and they play at a similar level. Solid. Manage games and are fine when they aren't being paid top dollar. Carr has actually had two good seasons under Gruden but the defense has given them no shot.

This what I have been saying. The QB market this off season has so many teams in need. That's why it's a sellers market.

Those that say Dallas will not get two number ones for Prescott are misreading the market.

Trade Elliott, Cooper, and two number ones for Watson. Get your two ones back tagging Prescott.

You just got two years younger at QB. You have Lamb, Gallup, and Wilson as your top three. You have Schultz and Jarwin at TE. You just need to draft RB. With the 10 draft picks you can draft defense, RB, and OL.

The QB is signed through 2025 and the highest cap hits are 2022 and 2023 at 40 million and 42 million respectively.

Time to think outside the box.

A) No team is trading two number ones for a QB who can't even put full weight on his foot 15 weeks after a compound fracture and dislocation. Plus, he won't even be able to pass a physical before the draft. Maybe he will be jogging by the draft. He might not even be able to throw until the summer. And said QB wants $35-45M/year with $100M guaranteed. Get real. No team is giving up anything for Dak.

B) The Texans would not even take Zeke, Cooper, and Dak straight up for Watson. What does that tell you? No one wants Zeke's overpaid, underperforming contract coupled with him being a walking liability for doing something stupid. No one wants Cooper at $20M/year. The Cowboys would have to eat a lot of dead cap to trade Zeke and Cooper assuming anyone would want them.

C) Thinking outside the box can be good. Thinking so far out of the box and into an imaginary universe is not good.

D) I hear the cap is likely to be $180M for 2021 and no one knows what it will be in 2022. That means draft picks will be a premium and worth a lot more. Teams will shy away from the monster QB contracts.

The grass is always a lot greener for some fans when a castoff would come much cheaper than a QB looking for a 40 million dollar contract extension. That’s the main reason some fans don’t like Dak. He would look a lot better to them if he wasn’t looking for as much money.

Derek Carr and Dak do not play at a similar level which is why Carr continues to fall out of favor with the Raiders and Dak is in position to make $40 million per.

Yeah, we gave up a second rounder for a whipping boy. lol
to be fair to 54 he doesn't skip a beat, and I don't think he has even missed 1 series in the years he has been here making phantom tackles. I really want to tlike the guy, and maybe if we added 2 other LB's that can actually play more than 6 games a year, it could force him to not have to be what he isn't? LOL

Unfortunately, all top defenders have question marks.

I'm with Captain Tradeback. I don't see a value pick for us. I wish an Aaron Donald was there at 10, but sadly no. Another Tyron? Don't see him. An Earl Thomas? No.

Trading back should get us 2 toward the end of first rounders in value. We need some *starters* to pencil in on the defense. FS, 3T, LB, CB. Should easily get 3 picks in the top 44 if we want. Higher if we trade up on the 44.

He keeps saying watch the film every time his play is questioned as if he’s playing well. Mike Nolan seemed perplexed as to why Jaylon receives the flack he does because he seemed to think he was playing well. Nolan obviously didn’t have a clue which is one reason the D was so bad and he got fired. Appears the players and coaches are clueless.

Funny seeing Miami on the list when they just got through using a top 5 pick on Tua last April. There were several knuckleheads on this board wanting us to trade the farm to move up and get him. Drew Lock was another QB some on here were raving about. This board isn’t exactly loaded with QB gurus. lol They continue to spin how easy it is to find a QB these days...right!

I've been reading about the possibility of Miami in the mix for Watson as well. I'm super surprised they're giving up on Tua so fast. I'll admit, I watched exactly 0 Dolphins games this season. Did he look that bad?

When Miami benched Tua in the fourth quarter of a very close game and brought in Fitzpatrick to pull the game out it was obvious the Dolphins weren’t confident in him. A young QB needs a moment like that to develop and they didn’t give him the chance which says a lot for how they feel about him. I only saw highlights of Tua’s play and he appeared to have a very good game against Arizona at least statistically. Miami won that game. If these trade reports are true then it appears Miami is giving up on him. Can’t remember any team giving up on a QB they took in the top 5 after the rookie season.

He looked like he didn’t belong in the NFL. Tua looked horrible. Yet there’s some here who would trade Dak for him due to the cap. Lol.

Then we are stuck with a crap defense and an expensive 4-12 QB who can’t carry a team, plus cap hell by trading Elliott’s contract.

-NO -PIT -IND -LAR -MIA? -CHI -NE -WASH -DAL? -SF -CAR -DEN -DET -PHI -HOU -NYJ -JAX?

Thats really a overblown list
NO-Hill
Pitt- Ben will come back for one more agonizing yr
Wash will keep Smith
Dallas is going to sign Dak
Phil - has Wentz cough cough and Hurts
Hou-Watson will not be going anywhere
Rams- Goff and there are a lot of players that fold in playoffs lol

Jets Jags Carolina Det NE are teams I could see going after a QB Maybe Denver? All these are teams that are in the top 15
I could see four QBs taken before us and ATL could very well take a QB with Ryan aging??
I dont think that the Jets will give up on their QB but they could If they were smart they would get him some help.

Lawrence, Fields Lance and Wilson will all go before our pick
Sewell, and Chase will go somewhere next. Then you have Waddle and Smith the Ala WR.
Though teams usually dont take a WR that high but Philly needs one bad.
That leaves
Surtain Farley Micha Rousseau Treveon Kwitty and Horn to choose from.
Plus keep in mind players will move up and down the boards after their pro day.
Since we are not having our Combine as we know it this year its really going to be hard to evaluate players.
