Simmons ... cost too much
Maye ... cost too much
Thomas ... no. Just no
Williams ... would be cheaper than the rest. But likely still getting 8-10 per year
Harris ... cost too much

Harrison Smith IMO, is more of what we’ve seen here. He’s better suited playing closer to the LOS.

Most likely signings IMO ... Kazee or Woods back on a one year deal.

My not be able to go top shelf, but a significant upgrade is mandatory.

I really think Kazee is the guy. He excelled at free safety. He has put up solid numbers in his career.

Super bonus for Stephen Jones, is he is coming off an injury. So you can lock him up for 1-2 years on the cheap. The other guys are going to cash in at at least 8-12 per season.

If we want to compete next year, we are going to have to spend money on either a FS, DT, or CB. We can't expect to fill all these holes in the draft. I think we will this year, actually, especially considering how embarrassed Jerry was

achilles tear on a 4.5/40 safety is troubling.

Desmond king would be a much better choice but the new (he played/worked for me in the past) thing going on on Dallas probably wins out smh.

Harrison had 5 picks last season but I guess you're right about LOS

Is Harrison Smith a free safety or strong safety?
The Vikings' depth chart lists Smith as strong safety and Anthony Harris as the free safety, although Smith said it's not that simple. He said both safeties move around constantly. Where the hard-hitting Smith does some of his best work is near the line of scrimmage.Oct 8, 2019

BTW: Not so fast on Earl Thomas (lol)......it's coming, you can count on that

Embarrassed about what? Last year wasn't any different than the previous 24 years

He was embarrassed enough to fire the DC after one year. Jerry's now paying him for nothing. That's an extreme measure for a man who kept Garrett on for 10 years.

Williams for 8 to 10, for a player with 13 ints and over 30 PD in 4 seasons? Several sources here in Louisiana are expecting him to get 14 to 15 and a major reason why the Saints are going to have to let him leave!
