Deleted post for non-offical social media not allowed? Since when is this a rule?

It's been in the Forum Rules for years.
#28 - You will not promote any personal or non-official NFL related social networking pages or links.

We allow them in a few of the Off-topic Zone threads like the funny threads, news thread, etc. but not anywhere else.

The random users behind the non-official social media posts are more than welcome to come to CZ, register and post on this site.

OK, just think it weird to be applied to Twitter posts. I've posted a ton of twitter messages without a blue check and never been deleted before.

If they are found or reported (many are) then they would be deleted and the user likely warned if it was done more than once.

To be clear though, a "blue check" is not what makes it official. For example, there are several reporters who work for major media outlets, radio stations, etc. that do not have them.
