I thought that before Pederson was canned. Pederson wanted to go with Hurts, the owner wanted to stick with Wentz.

That they hired Reich's offense coordinator as their new HC suggests to me that they want to keep him.

But anyone could be traded if someone makes a crazy offer. All it takes is one team.
The Eagles MUST trade one of Hurts/Wentz.
Not only can they not have the starter looking over his shoulder in the city of brotherly shove they need to recoup some roster help for the guy they keep while getting cheaper versus the cap.

The decision then gets tough because you gotta weigh the baggage of Wentz and the fan base versus the value of Hurts around the league as a guy who only has 4 games under his belt at a 1-3 clip.
Eagles need to make good GM decisions here and the coaching was far from the largest problem.

Guy had a bad year with an injury-riddled team 2 years running.
Would I prefer him over Prescott.......absolutely, positively .......YES!

At this point in his career I'd say he wouldn't be an upgrade over what we have with Prescott. At least not until you fix his mechanics that have never been the same after his injury.

Goff was in the same trade and the Rams had to throw in 2 first rounders just to dump his salary and get Stafford.

Is Wentz closer to Stafford or Goff?

How he played years ago compared to the last few it’s two different spectrums. I’d have to say more Goff. I do they philly will get at least a first for him

Lots of things. Good drafts, a great QB, great WR's, Garretts gone, great edge rushers, great oline when healthy, etc. etc

Okay let's review

Good drafts - is there specifically one? Or are we basing this on them picking CeeDee? Hard to say given the what we drafted the year before.
Great QB - at best he's average and against decent defenses he is well below average.
Great WR's - yes, and we've seen all the titles the Detroit Lions have amassed with great WR's
Garretts gone - after a decade of mediocrity, do I still smell carrot?
Great edge rushers - Demarcus Lawrence is another mediocre player who puts up stats against bad teams and disappears against the good ones. That's been his MO and he should send part of his salary to the NY Giants who fortunately had a terrible offensive line the year Demarcus Lawrence was playing for his second contract. The other edge rusher who is addicted to weed and can't stay on the field.
Great OLine - you mean aging OLine.

To this we also have a RB who was handed a massive contract that he isn't living up to but hey that's just par for the course for a Dallas Jerry's player.

So if Goff couldn't get a first rounder himself and they had to throw in two first rounders to move him for an older QB who isn't exactly "elite", why would a team give up a first round pick for a guy in Wentz who was dreadful last year, is playing for a team desperate to trade him with reports coming out that he's kind of a pain in the butt?

Maybe I am wrong, but I am thinking he's more gonna fetch something like a 2nd rounder or some mix of picks like a couple third rounders that could become 2nd rounders if he meets certain thresholds.

Wentzie will be gone. First he didn't like Pederson after being benched. Lurie fires him due to his man crush on Wentzie & now Wentzie still wants out because Sirianni has stated on the local news both qb's will be competing for the starter. Wentzie's scared Hurt's will win. So he's heading out now not to be embarrassed. RUN WENTZIE RUN! :lmao:

Two 1sts, a 3rd and C/D- Lamb.

In this scenario would you retain Prescott on a tag, and bench him out of principal or would you flat out cut ties? Inquiring minds must know. We’re talking about acquiring thee “Carson Wentz” after all.

Yea, Sean Payton to keep him grounded. Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara and a decent offensive line might be what he needs. But doubt anyone is handing the Eagles multiple first rounders for him though. Not after his injury history, getting benched and the years he has had.
But wait. I thought good QBs dont need anything around them to succeed. Isnt that what makes QBs elite?

Yeah.. I guess I don't over react like typical fan does who rides the week to week rollercoaster.

Anyone that is a realist can look at that teams Oline injuries, WR problems, TE & RB injuries, and see they were going to struggle.

If Dak were in that situation you would make these excuses for him like you do with the defense now.

I'm consistent across the board because I have the ability to put my Cowboys Pom Pom's down.
That sounds good and all but Wentz wasn't bad because of the team around him. You say Dak is not accurate, Wentz isc way worst. With no pressure and plenty of time Wentz still had over thrown balls and ones in the dirt. Had terrible decision making.

You aren't being consistent unless its your hate for Dak and love for worst QBs than him.
