After watching tonights game I noticed a few things we need to do to get where we want to go.
Scrap the LB's we currently have is #1. Go get undersized very athletic LB'S who can run and cover.
1st RD
If we trade back in the first I would have interest in Parsons if we know the off the field stuff is behind him would fill the Devin While role.
JOK is another guy if we trade back I'd have interest in being a guy who could fill the Levonte David role
Day 2
Jabril Cox, Baron Browning are athletic LB who can fill the Levonte David Role.
Talanoa Hufanga is the wild card guy is a S/ LB hybrid. Probably the most instinctive player in this draft who would be your base S and can play some LB.
Go find our Vita Vea
The Cowboys need to find a big ugly that can stop the run, and push the pocket back in pass rush. Someone like Dalvin Tomlinson.

I don't see a 1st round guy to fill those role.
Day 2
Tyler Shelvin would give us the beef up front to hold down the middle of the line and allow our LB's to run freely.
Jay Tufele can hold up against the run and get you a pass rush. Might be more 3-tech than 1 tech but would be good in the run game from the 3-tech spot.
Day 3
Marlon Tuipolotu I think could be a stout 1 tech who also brings a little bit in the pass rush game.
Long CB's with close to elite athleticism
Honestly I don't think you need super high level CB play if you fix the first 2 thing above, because the athletic LB's help prevent the stuff underneath, and it allows your CB's to focus on one thing which is not allowing the WR to get over the top of them.
1st RD
Caleb Farley: Long athletic CB who is an elite athlete.
2nd Day
Tyson Campbell is another long elite athlete who would fit the role.
Ifeatu Melifonwu fits the bill.
Safeties...?
We didn't see two of the greatest athletes at safety in this game, but they both know their role as covering things in the middle and do not get beat deep. Both of these guys are sure tacklers which helps clean up things due to having undersized LB's.
Richie Grant is the guy who would be solid in the run, not a great athlete but reads and reacts well and can play multiple spots for a S.
Talanoa Hufanga I put him above for LB, but he is currently playing S/LB and would be a great SS/ LB option for this team.
I think we can fill many of these holes on the defense in 1 year, and all of them in 2 years if we draft smartly.
A trade down adding 1-2 day 2 picks or a day 2 and early day 3 would give us some added darts to go get some guys to fix this defense.

- White is a guy who can bring the rush from the middle but can also play sideline to sideline because of his athleticism. Not the greatest in coverage, but it didn't look bad tonight and in the future it will improve.
- Lavonte David: This is a guy who most people said was the most talented/ productive LB in the draft and fell late in the second because of his size. The dude has been a very good LB for a long time.
