So what is it then? Why are people so adamant on letting Dak walk in favor of "defense"? Does that not elude to people having face this team will not only find a QB but make the right decisions on defense as well?
I’m not really that interested in what other fans think. I’m only interested in what they think Jethro will do.

But this dysfunctional organization hasn’t been able to build a defense with Dak on his Rookie contract. And wasn’t able to all of the years with Romo. Why would we have any faith they will now? Or if it’s even a priority.

And why our best hope is our offense carrying us as far as they can. That’s what will keep this franchise “ relative and interesting” which is Jethro's priority .

At 12:00 min mark interesting how NFL Executives polled say there is 0 chance Dak is long-term in Dallas.

This actually is a pretty well discussed topic...a first. A lot of facts, including Daks last 13 games 2 seasons ago not being great. Same with talk on Jerry’s ego etc. I can’t stand Skip but both sides of the Dak fight would do well to listen at least because there are facts for all

This is the same guy that when he was with the Fort Worth Star Telegram was fired because he lost his credentials with the Cowboys because of all the hate articles he wrote who know says he loves the Cowboys. Ya I believe he now loves the Cowboys like I believe the sun rises in the west and sets in the east.

I'm not a dak hater or anything but he's not a Quarterback that will take the talent around him and drag them along to the playoffs. I think stephen is seeing that with his merry band of helpers. Jerry on the other hand is looking North to seattle and a certain disgusted QB named russell wilson. Remember everybody under the sun and with a grain of salt the so called experts he may get a run to try and pry him from pete's cold hands. But what ever happens dak has burned his bridge back to jerry's heart and you might as well pry the whiskey bottle from his hand as put dak back in the huddle

Obviously the Cowboys have seen something they aren't fond of. Maybe his ankle, maybe his late (behind targets) throws down the middle. Who knows but there's a weird smell a foot

Gee another non Prescott person trying to push the hate Prescott standard line that the Cowboys now sense something different and aren't still interested in getting him signed. Gee what a surprise. I don't know how many times Jerry and Stephen have to say that Prescott is their QB for now and for the future before the haters stop their totally ridiculous spewing of their way of thinking.

Offense IS entertainment and that's what he's always been about.

If every owner was his own GM, how much defense do you think we'd see? The owner is interested in filling the seats, selling concessions and merch and increasing his ROI. He should have a GM only interested in building a solid winning team and that includes D and ST.

I suppose so. Personally, I want us to keep Dak.

Agree too. I just agree with Skip here...just threw up in my mouth a little...that there is a real conundrum with how he played last 13 games 2 yrs back, how he started this year, what his agent wants and Jerry’s pride. I don’t see Jerry wanting to pay with a 4 in front.

Well, we will have to see what happens.

It’s funny how Shannon Sharpe, who hates the Cowboys and calls Dak’s passing game, “Dinkin and Dakin “ thinks Dak is worth 40 million a season. Then you have Skip who says the Cowboys should have brought in Brady and let Dak go last season. Brady would never get along with the Joneses so that dream would be a nightmare. I am starting to wonder if these guys look at Cowboys Zone before their show starts.

Sharpe doesn't believe Dak is good enough for that money but if it hurts the team to pay it, then he's for it. That is why he says what he says and too many of our fan base just sop in up like it was gravy on a plate with biscuits.

Predictable and sad, all around.

how do people listen to these shows ?
I don't because I don't get into arguing with my TV, I'd rather come here and argue.

And you don't have to seek out these programs, anyone talking about the Cowboys gets their stuff repeated here.

As someone that is a fan of Dak, I too am a BIGGER fan of Dallas. Now, having said this, Sharpe hit the nail on the proverbial head once again (he's said it quite a few times already) when he said "they need to sign him to a Non-Exclusive Tag". Why haven't Jerry and Stephen figured this out yet? That ALONE gives them ALL THE LEVERAGE!!!!!!!!! They either get Dak for closer to what they want to sign him OR some team wants Dak more and has to give up Draft Capital...again, why haven't they figured this out yet?

I think most opponents of signing Dak are either not sold on him as our Franchise QB or don’t want to overpay concerned we won’t be able to surround him with enough supporting cast.

My argument stems more that we weren’t able to build a defense when he was on a Rookie contract . And our best chance to remain relative is to keep our offense going.
