10. Caleb Farley. CB
Considered trading down here but offers were for future hauls and either too far down in R1 or too risky for the reward.
44. Richie Grant. FS
Arguably best pure single high free safety. Not quite the dog that Earl Thomas was but a really solid player who takes the top off most offenses.
75. Dillon Radunz. OT
With no DT option here OT was best player and value available.
99. Tyler Shelvin, NT
Big uglies weren't all that plentiful past pick 60 so we went and got a fat daddy with no pass rush game. With comp picks I am willing to reach to cover needs.
115. Monty Rice. LB
Rice is a pure old school thumper. He didn't play pass down at Georgia and thus likely can't go higher than this but NFL teams are going to need guys who can stop the run and Rice does it as well as anyone in this draft.
138 Charles Snowden. LB
Back to back at LB here in early day 3 But make no mistake this a very different dude. Snowden is a Randy Gregory type edge moreso than an offball guy. He's underweight and super long much like Gregory. Year 1 may be mostly a wash but you can bet on this guy eventually growing into a nasty pass rusher. See my comp note above. Willing to gamble more on comp picks.
179. OG/OC Jack Anderson
Frisco boy was a better player at Texas Tech than Terence Steele but played next to him for 3 years. He was a high 4 star recruit out of HS that always did his job well at Tech but never elevated the entire OL or played any OT. Would probably be a solid interior OL back up allowing you to move on from Connor Williams rather than pay him in a year.
194. Jaylon Moore, OT.
Small school OT intrigues me. Love his upside far more than Steele or Knight but a PS candidate year 1.
226. Rakeem Boyd. RB.
Former Reality TV star as a JUCO he played well for Arkansas offers a nice combination of size/speed/vision.
With a 3rd RB need this is a cheap shot at filling that hole. Worst case Jerry gets him an Arkansas guy.
236. John Bates. TE.
If we give Jerry a guy from ARK we can surely find at least one more Boise St player right?
This dude screams Dalton Schultz redux. Solid blocker who was a Mackey Award watch guy twice. Not an elite receiver by any means but if you need a 3rd TE to block he's a solid and cheap option. If he has any injury set backs he goes to the PS.
