Good deal for Colts. Worst case for them, they trade a late 3rd round pick this year and a late first round pick next year.
I think it stinks for all involved. Wince has all the pressure on him now to live up to all that weird media hype and love fest that he somehow received in Philly. He will be center stage now. Philly doesnt really have a starting QB. Hurts isnt the answer. He is way too erratic. BOTH are in need of a QB.

maybe HOUSTON, but disagree with Jax. They will be much better than Indy year 1 under Meyer. Indy is receiving damaged goods. He is going to a division that is much MUCH better than the one he left.He will struggle mightily.
Colts have a lot of offensive talent, and were top 5 in the league in run defense. He's not joining a bad team. They were a playoff team last year. Jax will still be bad. Houston situation is a mess and we could see Watson sit out the way its going. Tennessee will have that run game and defense and be a force.

Philly is eating alot of dead money on Wentz. Roseman screwed the pooch. The guy was delusional thinking otherwise. Hurts is nothing more than a slash type player like Kordell stewart. Not horible, but not a EVERYDOWN starter.
Stewart went to two AFC championships as a starting QB

never underestimate Urban Meyer led teams. Jax has some pieces. Urban is very good at finding that 1 thing his team does well and honing it. Indy may have weapons but doesnt it matter who is trying to get the ball to those weapons? I have zero trust in Wentz' fb IQ.

Absolute steal by Indy.
Lots of pressure on Wentz now. He has to lead the Colts to the Super Bowl. I will say this the Colts talent reminds me of the Eagles when they won the Super Bowl. Let’s hope he is not punch drunk. He was horrible last season.

It's actually not a terrible deal for Philly either. If the rumors are true, all Wentz has to do is play 75% of their snaps in 2021 and that 2nd round in 2022 becomes a first.

With no real competition there, Philly is likely going to end up with a later round first round pick.

I was originally going to root for Wentz to tear it up with his new team, but now that a conditional second/first is involved I hope he fails miserably and he contracts a scorching case of jock itch for the duration of the 2021 season.
That conditional might be if they win the Super Bowl. I heard from the liquor store clerk that we were seriously thinking about trading for him but Jerry would not give up Coakley, lol.

not so fast. Do you REALLY think he will live up to those terms in order to turn that into a first? MY LORD...there is very little chance that happens in that division. Indy will finish last if he is there starter. Its a tough div.

Texans are a mess and Jags are rebuilding. Indy is a good team and no way they finish last.

The Eagles surrounding cast had fallen completely apart and it sounds like it was a toxic environment to play in as well.

Colts hit a homerun.

YES, and that was my point...just saying Hurts has a very small body of work and a long road ahead to live up to that standard. Kordell was more accurate and had a high FB IQ...and lets not forget, his HC was Cowher. Philly has a HC that is no Doug Pederson. There is much to prove .

I'm legit pissed off we didn't make that trade.
He is a often hurt bum. Even the year he was "MVP" their backup took them to and won the superbowl. Wentz is way overrated. Decent move for the colts though. Move from old rivers to broke down Wentz. Maybe a change of scenery does him some good. Who knows.

I said this once and I am sticking to it, Wince will be out of the NFL in 2 years, experiment over. He will be back in North Dakota coaching Highschool FB. He is about to get exposed big in Indy.

Well, I could see him as a possibly good backup QB if he were to take this situation as a humbling experience.

And that's the issue. If Dak didn't have that 2016 I would've been worried for him if his first season was that 2017 season.
2/3rds of the cowboys starting WRs were out of the league by next year though.

Putting up 29 TDs 13 INTs and nearly 4,000 all purpose yards that year isn’t too bad considering Zeke only saw half the season

Meet the team more dysfunctional than the cowboys.

I thought part of the reason why they let Penderson go was due to a "strained" relationship with Wentz.

Letting them both go?

Either there was a whole lot of crap not being reported inside the locker room or the patients are running the hospital.
