I loathe mike fisher. He’s the worst with rumors and things going on. Now he’s even worse. Just making up pipe dreams for fans. Please retire already and work in your bar for good

You have no clue of what you speak. The history of the NFL is littered with Safeties that were once CBs. And it didn't take them to get long in the tooth to convert. Dont quit your day job.

The NFL has a long history of corners who became good* safeties? Yeah, people have tried to put corners at safety forever. It usually fails. You just only hear about the bright success stories. But, go ahead, blow me away with your knowledge. How many corners converted to safety and played at a high level in 100 years of NFL football? I'll wait.

Giving Woods a second chance would necessitate a second contract. Rather than gamble on Woods, Dallas may be ready to sign a veteran who can bring some stability to a long running problem position.

If you want to get serious about safety, how about sign one of the many good to great FA FSs that are already on the market and have played S their entire life instead of taking an expensive chance on an experiment?

If you want to get serious about safety, you target one of these guys inthe draft Trevon Moehrig, Jevon Holland, Andre Cisco or go out and sign Landon Collins once he's cut by WFT

They are not one player away from a great defense. There is no point in bringing in high priced free agents. Good value in free agency and draft

Considering the roster, the aim should be for the defense to be around 10-20 out of 32 in the next 2-3 years, with the offense being in the top 3.

They need to implement a system, draft for it, and develop the defense.

Off the top of my head:

Cornell Green
Charlie Waters
Rod Woodson
Merton Hanks
Charles Woodson
Malcolm Jenkins
Tyrann Mathieu
Devin McCourty

Mel Renfro did something very rare - he went from being a safety to an All-Pro cornerback.

If the Xavier Woods' rumors are true, it's Tyrone Crawford all over again. It's the Front Office wanting so desperately to be right about all of their bold proclamations about him that they pay him more than he deserves to try to validate themselves as football evaluators.

Can't ever win this way. They prioritize being right over being good.

Also, does Stephen know that he is now widely perceived as a cheapskate? Or is he living in his own bubble like his father? His father has mistaken popularity as football success, whereas Stephen views balanced books as some sort of football victory.
Now I'm panicking, what rumours

Why isn't fish thinking about Richard Sherman as a safety rather than Patrick Peterson as his pet toy as a converted FS?
Sherman is well familiar with Dan Quinn legion of boom scheme during Seattle days
Sherman is 33 in March, Peterson 31 in July
Both have lost a step but Sherman was a 4.56 guy, Peterson a 4.34 guy
Peterson is also suppose to be a Cowboys fan

Maybe because Sherman hasn't played an entire season for the last 4 years. In March he turns 33 and that's old for a corner. Yes some corners played good at and after age 33 but they also didn't have a 4 straight year injury history either.
