Trade em Dak and a 1st round.
Keep Dak, use all pics on the D.
Trade em Dak and a 1st round.
My Dick Tracy decoder ring.
So what, I got that ring as a child and it was my precious for many years which says a lot that I'm will to give it up for Wilson. We are talking about the "Castaway" soccer ball, right? This is a family site.
Several NFC West divisions.
And that is with no elite defense, bad oline, average RB, and average WRs for the most part although Metcalfe is emerging.
What's the best offer you'd send to the Seahawks.
I like Dak a lot, but Wilson is a natural born winner. I'd give up the house for him. He can carry this team with a solid oline, Zeke, Cooper, Gallup and Lamb.
2020

2021

I'm sure some will start insulting people for their view on this, but to my thinking it's not irrational for a person to have either one of these views even though they are in opposition to each other.
Contrary to what is popular for people to think these days, it is possible for rational people to have different viewpoints.
Ultimately it just takes reasonable people to discuss the options in a reasonable manner and come up with the best solution they can
The sticking point is 'signing Dak' - has not happened over the last two offseasons - and no indication that an agreement is close at hand.Wilson is good, but I think signing Dak and keeping all those picks would make us better.
Interesting. Also more reasons why Seattle won't be trading him. That's not true. Those are his cap hits for Seattle who has paid him signing and roster bonuses. If they trade him, they have to take advance those bonus cap hits onto their existing 2021 cap. Wilson on another team has lower cap hits and is quite affordable (relative to other QBs).
I believe I read his cap hits for any team trading for him would be: $19 million in 2021, $24 million in 2022 and $27 million in 2023. That's his base in 2021 of $19 million, then the same base in 2022 + a 5 million roster bonus and then a $22 million base in 2023 + $5 million roster bonus. There are some base escalators in there as well but not a huge amount.
Any team trading for Wilson is getting a great deal in terms of contract for the next three seasons.
Yet another member comparing a 9+ seasons veteran to a kid whose only played a little over 4 years.I like Dak a lot, but Wilson is a natural born winner. I'd give up the house for him.
It really is absurd that people think he would “instantly” make us playoff contenders when we’ve already had the number one offense once and a top 5 offense a couple times and yet we still sucked because we had no defense. Now they want to give up more draft picks thus further hindering any chance at improving our defense?! To gain what? The number one offense?Nothing. He won a super bowl on his rookie deal b/c Seattle was able to load up on defense. Since signing his big contract, Seattle has done nothing but gut the defense to accomodate his huge cap number. Seattle has now realized they can't win with him so why would we? Seattle is run by much smarter people than Dallas.

I went and looked at that tradeCBS Sports had a crazy three team trade with the Raiders involved where we give up Dak, a 2022 first round and then like a 4th round pick.
Why the left,, is there something wrong with the right?
Ok to be honest, we all smell our own farts. But the noise out of Dak's camp is he wants a contract in the 40 million range which is more expensive than Wilson so it's the same argument of spending big money on a QB or having cap room for the defense. It's the argument we've had on this board all year.Wilson makes 32m, 37m and 40m over the next 3 years. Thats not cheap.
Swap Dak for Wilson and you win the same number of games.
Keep the draft picks and fix the defense or Wilson and Ciara will be griping at Jerry about losing and not controlling things like he does in Seattle.
The guy seems to have turned in to one of those types that likes to drink his own bath water and smell his own farts.
