I became curious which teams might be interested in Dak (in any degree) and I have narrowed the list of teams down to these (although the list might be shorter)--in no particular order:

Bears (High need, low pick--contender with Dak--stud defense)
Saints (High need. low pick--contender with Dak-but salary cap issues might prohibit)
49ers (High need)
Washington FT (High need, Danny Boy wants to be relevant again, division rival--stud defense)
Dolphins (High need)

Panthers (Medium)
Vikings (Medium)
Patriots (Medium)
Giants (Medium--high need, but very high pick))

Falcons (Low)
Detroit (Low)
Packers (Low)
Eagles (Low--cap and Hurts)

Broncos (Unsure)
Raiders (Unsure)

There are a few teams (Jets and Jags) that probably wouldn't give up two very high picks that would otherwise be on this list. This is off the cuff, and some of these may have factors which would eliminate them from this discussion.

I would say that the Panthers, Broncos, Pats are high needs. Much higher than the Niners and Dolphins. They have qbs that could help them get to the playoffs. The Broncos, Pats, and Panthers do not right now, imo.

I saw on the NFL Network, one of their insiders said that if Dak does hit free agency, his source said that Washington is going to go very hard for him and pull out a full-court press to land him.

It was a week or so ago. I think it was Ian Rappoport on NFL Now.

Yes. I see that as possible. But would the hoodie give up the cap room and the picks? IDK

Panthers may not have a good enough team to compete so why trade for Dak? The Broncos may be in the same boat as the Panthers. Why would either of them give up a top 10 pick for Dak, let alone two of them?

Strum said Dak would be signed on Thursday. Last Thursday.

I truly believe this needs to be closed out soon. Too many spots need attention. Can’t be screwing around with the QB. Jerry has already hurt the team by dragging this out. Sign him or trade him.

Off that list I think the only realistic options would be...

Bears

Panthers

Miami (if they trade Tua)

Giants might have already made an offer if they were in any other division but I don't see them as a candidate.

Dak would really help the Bears and the Skins. Chicago WRs though..

To me, the Jets are the team. Dak to NY is a match made in heaven PR wise. The Jets have a pretty good personnel core, outside of QB. They can afford Dak's salary, they have the key pieces needed to make a deal with the Cowboys and they can offer Dak and France the things they want to transition upwards if Dak leaves Dallas, assuming Dak can win. I mean, if you win in NY, there is no better, more lucrative place to be. That's just the truth.

So, the key is, do they believe that Dak is the guy or not? If they believe Dak is their guy, is a #2 overall, a 2nd round pick and Darnold to much to spend? Watson, who they have been linked to would cost them, reportedly, three 1st round picks and two 2nds plus a starter. So if you think the difference between Watson and Dak is minimal, then Dak is a bargain by any measure, IMO.

I, personally think that's cheap if you believe that Dak is your guy. If they don't believe that, then of course it's too much but then again, if they believe that an unproven rookie is a better option for them, then don't you have to ask if Dak really is a Franchise QB worth a contract like he reportedly wants?

It's an interesting question, to me.

Bears (High need, low pick--contender with Dak--stud defense) perhaps! Foles is under contract and they still have Mitch
Saints (High need. low pick--contender with Dak-but salary cap issues might prohibit) they have Winston
49ers (High need) They have Jimmy G but they also draft within range to get one coming out of college
Washington FT (High need, Danny Boy wants to be relevant again, division rival--stud defense) you may be on to something here
Dolphins (High need) they got Tua T and they draft 3rd Dak is nowhere in the picture

Panthers (Medium) Yes but they draft high
Vikings (Medium) Cousins?
Patriots (Medium) Here is a possibility. Ive heard they may bring Newton back
Giants (Medium--high need, but very high pick)) doubtfull they have Jones

Falcons (Low) Ryan?
Detroit (Low) Maybe
Packers (Low) Youre not serious? They have the second best QB in league with Love waiting in wings 0 chance
Eagles (Low--cap and Hurts) Dont see this one but the eagles are the eagles so its possible

Broncos (Unsure) Yes
Raiders (Unsure) Carr or Prescott you're probably splitting hairs

There are a few teams (Jets and Jags) that probably wouldn't give up two very high picks that would otherwise be on this list. This is off the cuff, and some of these may have factors which would eliminate them from this discussion.

I would actually find it ironically hilarious if Dak went to Washington and dominated this division next 3-4 years.

Do you think Belichick would even consider paying Prescott what he wants? He wouldn't pay Brady market rate.

And this is the only reason I don't list New England as the best destination for Dak. Dak, with Belichick would be a perfect match, to me. Dak does exactly the things BB loves but, he would never pay the kind of money that Dak is commanding. The only way I see something like that happening is if Belichick wants to prove that he too can win one without Brady, like Brady did with out BB. That's really the only way I could see it happening and that's like one half of one percent, on that one, for me.

Oh it will be stellar if the Vikings for and get Dak, he's a Kirk Cousins clone if I ever saw one.
