I'm a bit higher on Trask anyway than Lance. I want 10 for defence.

Yeah, watch Lance highlights. I think there's a 5 minute one. That's all you need to see. You'll see designed runs, and he's a 1 read QB. He'll stay on that guy until he either has to take off running, or buy time for a busted play. Manzeil made a living off of that in college.

It depends if you're serious about winning. If you're serious about winning then no. If you are serious about tanking? Then no. I don't see any scenario where Fitzpatrick is a good option. If I'm going to contend I need a good quarterback. If I'm going to tank...then I need a young guy in there. Fitzpatrick is where I go if I have dreams of going 7-9.

For me, the goal of Fitz would be to steer the ship while the young QB gets ready. Like how Bledsoe steered the ship until it was time for Romo to step in.

We are fine at TE.. I really like our TE's.

But i'm not passing on a potential stud just because we are fine at TE and need a corner.

The only way I do that is if we trade Jarwin. I think we can probably get an additional 3rd for him. If we can, that makes getting Trask easier and gets us defence with 2 of our 3 3rds in that situation with Trask being the offensive 3rd.

lol no, why wouldn't you just keep Dalton, if those were your options

I guess we could? I mean, the idea either way is to find a Bledsoe-type veteran QB. A player that's got a year or two of decent play in the tank while we develop a QB and try to find our next Romo.

Yeah, I don't like Lance. He reminds me of a less talented Carson Wince. No thanks on him. I'll have Trask.

Smith sucks and Trask sucks too

Well, as stated, I hope we keep Dak, but, if not, we really have to come up with something. My plan simply is to try to develop a young QB. I do like a QB from Northwestern named Peyton Ramsey. I'd take him in round 5. Otherwise, we really are screwed. In that case, we should probably tank this upcoming season.

If Dak is going to leave, either by his choice or Jerry’s, then Dak is his own best bridge. Tag him and draft a QB in the first round. Dallas already has the tag budgeted under the cap. Dak gives Dallas one more year and there is no awkward moment when Fitzbridgesmith (whoever is qb) is benched for the second year starter.

I'd like this best, if we're sure we can't keep him after this season. Especially if we can somehow get Mac Jones (WITHOUT trading up).

Literally the only similarity between Lance and Wentz is the school they went to.

Trask is a less talented Wentz is anything.

Maybe, we will have to see who's there at 10. I just hate the thought of neglecting our already horrendous defence yet another year. I mean, I'd love to say it can't get any worse on that side, but it can always be worse.

I think there are reasons to be positive.

The defense played better as the season went on.

They are returning to a more simplified scheme which previously worked well apart from the run defense.

Gregory could be a stud and expect tank to produce excellent results under Quinn.

Diggs has a year of experience at CB and should continue to improve.

Wilson has looked the playmaker we have all craved at safety.

Run defense/Linebacker corp and the secondary all need to be improved upon but I see a similar middle of the pack defense heading into next season before any draft picks/free agents have been added.

They did look like they were improving, but I still don't feel comfortable going offense at 10. I'll understand if we do, but man, the issues we have stopping the run scares me. I'll try to see if I can get a mock draft to where I can make a QB at 10 work tonight.

We are in a good spot at 10. If we don't go QB we are nicely placed for a blue chip prospect but equally if a QB drops who we like then we can pull the trigger.

I would really like a DB or LB, and I'd especially like that in a trade down. However, Mac Jones would be my choice at 10 if we had to go QB.

I agree with you. I like Mac Jones. He has something about him but yes we need to improve the defense whether through the draft or free agency.
