Don't know much about him ........
he's under 30 still too.Imagine how much better our linebacker room would be day 1. WOW. He is a alpha dog leader too. I bet he could get these dudes up to snuff.BRING HIM IN ASAP.Dang, that production is up there with the great one Demarcus Lawrence.
Prolly right.solid player.
he'll go back to new england.

He could be our Bruce IrvinHe's a 3-4 type... We will be returning to 4-3 base scheme thank goodness.
He was a bust his first two years with the Lions. Traded to Patriots where he actually fit. I doubt he would have fit any better in Marinelli's system. He'd probably have a better chance in Quinn's system in the Bruce Irvin role.I loved Van Noy coming out of BYU. Wished we would have taken him.

2nd round pick with 16 total tackles in two years, no forced fumbles, no recovered fumbles, no passes defended, no interceptions and traded to New England for an exchange of 6th and 7th round draft picks. That is a bust for the Lions.I wouldn't say bust. I'd say that the Lions were not using him the way he fit but I think it's wrong to label a player as such if the team can't figure out a system and players who fit into it.
In Marinelli's system, he would have worked. I think he could have played MLB.
Feels even better than DL’s.Dang, that production is up there with the great one Demarcus Lawrence.
do you think somebody told #54 we're switching to the 4-3? Added confusion for the fine dressed business man? He's a 3-4 type... We will be returning to 4-3 base scheme thank goodness.
There are a few negative comments about him in this thread but personally I would be happy to take a punt on him. Not huge money for a position that seriously needs improvement.

You make it sound as though his skill set makes it only possible to play in 1 position in 1 scheme. If he can tackle, block and move we can use him anywhere. I am more interested in his ability to contribute in general. Our lb play has been poor and Sean Lee is spent.Where would he play in the 4-3? OLB? He’s a good 3-4 guy so I’m curious to know because I don’t have a clue
