I think around 4 dropped TDs. 2 fumbles.

But just great, efficient production. 8.4ypt, 8.2ypc, 67% catch rate.

The splits over the year are even more encouraging.

Right out of the gate with Dak, first 4 games, 10.6ypt. Big lull in the next 4 games with Dalton in and out of the lineup. Once Dalton settled in for Dec, last 4 games 11.38ypt.

Those are pro bowl numbers if you sustain them for a year.
Excited about his future with the boys!

I think the big thing I'd look for Lamb to get better at is the YAC. He wasn't nearly as good after the catch as he was in college.

Think an NFL offseason will help a lot in that regard - since he doesn't even turn 22 until April.

I think people are going to hold his numbers against him, but his upside is still higher than any other WR in the draft last year.

Kind of hard to match college numbers considering the drop off in talent at college vs pros. Lamb set a rookie record for Cowboys rookie record for receptions surpassing Dez

Nobody would argue he didn't have a good rookie season. The debate isn't over the player. The debate is whether we needed a WR in round 1.

Guess it depends on how you approach the draft, If you are drafting for need then no if you are seeing a guy that you have very high on your board who has slipped to your spot and see him as BPA then yes. I liked the pick then and I like the pick now. CeeDee for at least the next 3 to 4 years has a chance to make a big impact on this team.

yeess, .a Non Dak thread …. thank u

His smoothness and body control has been impressive, dunno if he is as over the top vertically fast and dynamic after the catch as touted at OU.
He doesn't and won't hit those jet sweeps on the edge quite as top end quickly as Lucky Whitehead and Travon Austin
and I even wonder if the faster Pollard may be better suited for those edge sweeps and end arounds than Lamb.

OK returner.
Maybe be better as he adjusts more to NFL speed, but I wouldn't mind if his time and value be spent more on offense than returner.

I got to keep looking at Lamb as more an DeAndre Hopkins - whose field fast, amazing twisting body control at times, and slippery in breaking tackles.
It really helped that he was so polished and NFL ready coming into the league. Greatly help his learning curve faster.
He should have big numbers and even bigger impact in pass offense once Dak returns

Apparently they just thought of him that much as a blue chip player. Not a B-tier, red chip WR.
Too special and unique to pass up in according to their board.
Never imagine that he'd still be on the available board when he fell into our laps.

Plus it wasn't settled at draft time that Cooper could be an opt out after 2 years, and Gallup is due to be a FA in a couple of years too.

He was taken b/c Jerry has surrounded himself with butt kissing morons in the war room. We were coming off an 8-8 season and had huge gaping holes on defense. Thats not the time to use premium draft capitol to stack up wrs.

I would agree with "meets expectations" for CeeDee.

But in all objectivity- I expected a bit more. Way too many drops. Should have easily gone for 1K and did not.

Still- he's a real good one, just didn't quite make the impact as a Rookie I expected.

If not Lamb, we would have taken Klavon Chaisson who had all of 1 sack in almost 600 snaps

So what? Most DE's take time to develop. DLAW had ZERO sacks his rookie year and only 9 career sacks going into his 4th season. We have no idea what Chaisson will become. I would have traded back, and drafted Antoine Winfield JR.

Lawrence wasn't drafted in the middle of the first round. If you are mid first round pick, you need to contribute. Drafting any of the defenders that went in the first over Lamb is just silly

It is not silly if you trade back. Stacking WRs doesn't win in this league. Matt Millen proved it and he had a better QB.

I have been pretty clear on this board. I was as against the Lamb pick as I was the Zeke pick. Drafting a WR in round 1 on a team with so many defensive needs is just stupid football.

Where have all these offensive weapons got us? I think you are confusing real football with fantasy football.
