Should have never been moved to safety to begin with
ok omniscient one. I have. I watched alot of Tulsa games and live in Texas, so down here we tend to get some games of Tulsa. Seen him plenty. I'm no expert, nor are you, but the point is..whichever position he plays, lets leave him at 1 and see if the dude CAN play at all. Just saying its better to be good at 1 job than to be mediocre at 2. Truthful statement is none of us , even coaches, know what we have with him yet. We will find out in this camp in 2021. I am excited , upbeat and positive about him until he proves he doesn't belong.RR does not have the skillset to be a starting NFL CB. His future in the NFL, if he has one, is as a downhill player at S.
I really think you guys need to start analyzing the player and his skillset before making blanket statements.
me too...plus, I love Donny wilson our downhill safety we have..now we just need to draft another safety . I agree though...I can see him at slot corner...nickel. But hey, its just an opinion.I like him better at CB than Safety

I might be wrong here but when they drafted Robinson I don't think they intended for him to be strictly a safety.
They never should have moved him to safety. If they wanted a safety, they should have just drafted one. K'Von Wallace and L'Jarius Sneed were both available when they drafted Robinson. Sneed played a lot for the Chiefs while Robinson was rarely activated.
They left him at safety and now are admitting that was a mistake.this is teh same crap they did with Byron Jones..just stupid. LEAVE THE KID SOMEWHERE and let him work his tail off and lets see what happens.STOP tinkering and get real.
Amazing what real coaching can do.....as opposed to what Jerry is comfortable with.Sneed was a steal, plus they moved him to Corner. I don't think too many saw that coming.
Although, maybe we should have. He ran a 4.37 40 and had a vertical of 41". For reference, Byron Jones had a 44.5" vertical.
Sneed had 41 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 INT's, and 7 passes defended for the Chiefs. Probably the steal of the 2020 draft.
He went 138th, 15 picks after Reggie Robinson.
I wanted them to take Kenny Robinson, who went 152nd, 29 picks after Reggie.
Back to the topic, Reggie is a 4.4 guy with a 36" vertical, so not super explosive. He does seem like a Seahawks-type CB at 6'1" and 205; he played a ton of press at Tulsa. I like the two Tulsa CB's still there, Allie Green IV (6'3" 206) and Akayleb Evans (6'2" 190). Go back and watch the Tulsa-Oklahoma State game from 2020 and tell me if you don't come away impressed with their DBs.
I've been extremely intrigued with the Tulsa CB coach Aaron Fletcher (now at Missouri), who coached Reggie in 2019. I've talked to him some and heard him speak at some coaching conferences. He does a great job of teaching press and I think he'll end up being a NFL DB coach soon. If any of you guys are SEC fans, watch and see if you see some noticeable improved play from Missouri's Corners in 2021.
HA HA is out of the league btw...no one picked him up to my knowledge. That dude must be that bad.We tend to suck signing free agents as of late..wow.You may be right. Once they saw HaHa Clinbton-Dix was not a good player anymore, they may have felt the need to move him to safety just for numbers.
He played in only 22% of available defensive snaps for a very bad 2019 Jets team who couldn't wait to move on from the high-priced bust Trumaine Johnson.BTW..how much do we know about Maurice Canady? He is still on our roster, the db we signed last offseason from the Ravens. He might end up saving our bacon depth wise this year.. I think he is pretty good from the research I been doing.
