Well. It is Monday. And I am so sick and tired of seeing how paying Dak means we cant get better on defense.

This draft shows you not only is it possible to get better on defense, but it is very likely. And we can also help the Offense in the same draft.

Take a look below and tell me we cant sign Dak and get better on defense. If you can say that with a straight face you have an agenda and dont care if we sign Dak for 10 dollars.
  • 10.Micah Parsons
    LB, Penn State

Finally a LB that can do everything. This kid is an absolute stud and will immediately become the leader on this defense. If his maturity issues are ironed out and the Cowboys do their due diligence and are ok with it we should run the card up to the podium.
  • 44.Ifeatu Melifonwu
    CB, Syracuse

This is a Dan Quinn pick. Size, length, agility, speed. This kid is going to be a stud in the NFL, and with him we can be comfortable at CB for awhile. Diggs and Melifonwu make a great CB tandem.
  • 75.Alim McNeill
    IDL, NC State

The anchor this DL needs. Alim is a great plug, and has the athleticism to get to the QB as well. This is a no brainer if he makes it this far.
  • 99.Walker Little
    OT, Stanford

Eventual Smith replacement, and can start immediately if needed. This guy is smart, strong, and fits the profile of a future NFL LT. Learning from Tyron would make him that much better that much faster.
  • 115.Andre Cisco
    S, Syracuse

While I may get roasted for this pick. At 115 Cisco makes sense. And hes also the Ballhawk we have needed at FS for years. He hits hard, has a nose for the ball, and while he makes mistakes he also makes up for them. Dan Quinn can turn this kid into Earl Thomas. At least I believe so.
  • 139.Dazz Newsome
    WR, North Carolina
Couldnt attach video for this. Sorry guys

This kid right here is the steal of the draft if he lasts this long. Immediately starts in the slot, and his YAC ability will wow you. This is also considering that Gallup leaves which is very likely. This guy takes the slot, and Lamb takes the number 2 position. Also would be great at PR and KR.
  • 179.Shakur Brown
    CB, Michigan State
See above.

Very good value here. He doesnt have much tape but the tape he does have is incredible.

Let me know what y'all think about this.

Parsons is a guy most analysts I have seen interviewed can't decide if he is a top 20 pick or a third round guy. They understand the measurables but the tape and character issues mean he could also be a gigantic bust as a high pick. For those reasons, he would not be on my radar until much later.

Does Parsons do anything thats not downhill?

Jaylon for all of his flaws can play downhill.

Dallas isn't picking Parsons unless there is tape out their of him backpedaling and flipping his hips to break up some passes.

Yeah..

NFL is looking for 2 guys that can cover and play the run.

Parsons might do well in a 3-4 but in a 4-3 he basically brings what Jaylon already does.

Anytime I go to watch this guy I never find video of him defending the pass. Maybe he can but i'd like to see it.

I like Zaven Collins the best so far but i'm not passing on Pitts, an offensive tackle, or a corner for any of these linebackers.

I agree with you on Pitts. I just see Parsons and think Keuchly as do a lot of scouts. Would you pass on Luke?

Read that. I didnt even know Saban lost out on recruiting this kid.

I wouldn't take Parsons at 10, but this is still pretty solid.

I like the Cisco pick, he's too boom or bust to go much earlier than that, but 115 is a pretty good spot for him.

Thanks man. I honestly think this draft and our coaching change puts this defense in the top 15 range.

I don't see Luke Kuechly at all. Completely different style. This is a Jaylon style of player.

Walter Football says he can defend the pass.

I'd like to see the evidence. Maybe it's out there but i'd like to see it first.

Yeah I am going to start watching more tape. If he can do it all. Hes more Luke than Jaylon. He also can use both legs lol.

I believe it was Cavanaugh & Skywalker reviewing LBers and there were some guys they had identified that they felt were excellent in coverage that at least at that time i wasn't hearing a whole lot about. Sounded like you could get those guys later in the draft which would allow us to take other needs early.

It seems our draft strategy is now about talent and not need. Which is refreshing.

How many current NFL linebackers are worth a top 10 pick?

That's my whole point on these guys.

Give me a position of value.

This draft doesn't change the talent level from last year. Long-term, maybe, but not right away.

Parsons is nothing like Keuchly so I wouldn't touch him at 10, but because of that, he doesn't change your ability to cover, which means he doesn't really change your defense much. Melifonwu, at best, is a wash with Chido and McNeil as a rookie doesn't really give you anything you didn't good from Woods, but your depth would be better. Instant improvements to the defense would come from vets.

These all disagree with you.

Well then they're wrong, he's nothing like Keuchly.

Keuchly was great because of his intelligence and anticipation and excellend in coverage. Everything Parsons does is because he's a superior athlete who would excel as a blitzer with limited coverage responsibilities. I think Walterfootball compared him to Hightower and that's way more accuract. Keuchly and Parsons aren't comparable at all. It'd be like comparing Meohrig to Jamal Adams.

And not for nothing but...check your sources.

The first doesn't mention Keuchly, the second just says it's his ceiling, and the third compares the hype more than anything.

His coverage is above average. And his intelligence is there as well. I think he could become great. Learning from Sean Lee would help as well.
