let's see how many starting opportunities Dalton get. My guess he's a backup again this year, yours?

Cause he’s 33.

When our younger version of Alex Smith is 33 let’s see how he does.

Most teams would rather take a risk on something else then go with Dalton.. He’s not very good.. Unfortunately for us he wins and loses the same games Dak does for a lot cheaper.

lol...you insinuated there's no difference in him and Dalton he should have no problem, right?you didn't say anything about age, Is there not 33 year old starters in the league. you Bs holds no water.

Dak's contract was the one that broke the camels back. We are now locked in for several years and there's no escape.
Its the exact opposite in fact. We can get out of this deal after year 2 we so choose. The TV deal will raise the cap thru the rook next year and beyond and the cap hit on this after year 2 wouldnt be that bad.If we just cut him. Which we wont lol. The deal is a 6 year deal with 2 GHOST years being year 5,6...Meaningless and just for cap purposes. Its a short term deal. Good for both sides. Im not worried as long as we spend in free agency and try to fix the dline.

He was right..

Dalton played and won games at the same rate.

There isn't a massive gap between Dak and Dalton. They'll both get you to the same place.
Dalton won games when the defense played significantly better. There's no qb in the league that averaged 40 points a game last year, which was required to win games at the start of last season

One thing this deal did was basically kick Dalton to the curb. He wont be here now. I expect Dallas will allow Gilbert to compete for the back up spot with Cooper Rush and Denucci.

Colin is right in regards to the formula to win. But he forgets one thing. What if all of the good teams in a conference have high paid QBs? Besides Tampa, who else has a good team and lower paid QB in the NFC? And I can't imagine Brady playing for too much longer.

But by the time Brady has retired the chances are they will be teams in the NFC riding the rookie contract of a good QB

Wilson throws a dominant deep ball and a Lombard winner

Watson is an overrated player

Dakota has not and will never win a meaningful game here.
I agree with ya except for that last sentence. I think Dak might shock you if he gets some help from the defense and oline. One thing...Zeke needs to be better from week one on. I seriously think we need to draft us a late round rb and see if the guy can compete and have a role. I like the Indiana RB Stevie Scott. Watch his YT vids..the kid is a good back, well rounded and can pass block. He has great vision..he hits the hole and goes north and south..no messing around. I dont trust Zeke.

Probably. But the rookie has to be good too. The team has to build and be good as well. Or else you have the Jets.

Arizona, they may be a threat. We'll have to see. The AFC is loaded with them. Mahomes is still playing on the last year of his rookie deal. Even when Mayfield, Jackson, and Allen get paid, they'll still have two years left. Then the Bengals Chargers maybe? Right now the NFC doesn't look that promising.

I never forget the infamous line by Colin Coward after Dak FIRST NFL game........Jimmy Garrapollo is a franchise quarterback Dak Prescott is not. Coward used all of ONE game as his sample size and since then I don't put much stock into anything he says.
