Im going to do these periodically throughout the draft. Im gonna list some day potential 1 and 2 prospects, and want you to tell me exactly what they would add to the Cowboys. Im gonna some oft discussed names, some controversial names, and just rando's. Keep in mind this is not "Why we should or shouldnt draft...." its what the particular players would add

-Rashawn Slater, OT Northwestern

-Jaylen Waddle, WR Alabama

- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB Notre Dame

- Azeez Ojulari, DE/Leo? Georgia

- Asante Samuel, CB Florida State

- Tommy Togiai, DT Ohio State

- Payton Turner, DE Houston

- Rondale Moore, WR Purdue

Slater Ninth best player in the draft and Instant starter and upgrade in the passing and run game. Whoever gets hurt on the OL this year, just move him to that position and bring the next best player up. Eventual replacement for Smith at LT

Waddle Eighth best player in the draft. The deep threat we've been needing, his speed would force teams to back off coverage or overplay the run. With experience he could be an upgrade to Cooper or Gallup and we could trade one of them on draft day to add a day two pick and free up some cap space.

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Instant upgrade to our front seven. He fast to range and help control the outside running game. Instant downhill trigger paired with a willingness to take chances, will lead to big plays near and behind the line of scrimmage. Athletic ability to handle man-cover duties on a variety of positions. Excellent instincts and speed as a blitzer. Insane production in just two years at ND seven sacks, 24.5 TFLs, and 5 forced fumbles.

Asante Samuel Backup CB who could become a starter.

Tommy Togiai
Backup defensive tackle.

Rondale Moore Backup WR who could become a starter

Moore would be a good slot WR with ability to beat one on one coverage and has ability as a returner.

Samuel could become a good nickel CB.

slater....versatility...could slide inside til he's ready to take over a OT spot.
security...we're covered in the event of an injury to Tyron or Collins or if someone retires.
future starting tackle.

waddle...explosiveness...speed...good hands....game wrecker.
if we lose Gallup...WRx3 remains intact.
if we keep Gallup...WRx4 is real....damn real.

jok...versatility...lb/s....swiss army knife.
speed...just an all around good football player.
makes plays...always around the ball.

azeez...quick off the edge...disruptive....would give us a dynamic DE group with DLaw,Gregory and Anae...plus a continuing developing Armstrong.

samuel....one helluva good corner.
blood lines show thru his game.
tough.
good in coverage.
might not meet their fondness for tall corners...but who cares.
you put this guy out there with Diggs and we're covered for the next decade.

tommy...love this buckeye...solid vs the run...gets good pressure.
tough.
hard nosed.
we could do worse.
good player.

payton....tall....love his size...good rusher.
again...would give us a dynamic de group.

moore wr....purdue players are tough.
has good hands.
outside of the 10th pick....wr hasn't been in my thoughts.

-Rashawn Slater, OT Northwestern-he is a Zach Martin Clone. Can play at a high level anywhere we need him. Would eventually start at LT, but would upgrade C/G day 1 and have an emergency plan in place if either of our Tackles would go down for an extended period of time. He makes a lot of sense.

-Jaylen Waddle, WR Alabama-special athlete, but coming off of major injury. Didn't look good at the championship game. I have heard, the Eagles love him.

- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB Notre Dame-he is a tweener. I heard Broaddus say there is some tape in which he struggles playing linebacker. Big projection as he hasn't played the position, might be more of a safety prospect.

- Azeez Ojulari, DE/Leo? Georgia-has 1 move, but it works very well. Heard some believe he doesn't possess the physical profile for the position.

- Asante Samuel, CB Florida State-too small for the Cowboys liking, he might not even be on their board.

- Tommy Togiai, DT Ohio State-heard this week on the draft show, that they are high on this prospect. Might be the best Ohio State defender in the draft.

- Payton Turner, DE Houston-inside/outside player who would be an upgrade over a younger/healthier Crawford.

- Rondale Moore, WR Purdue
-electric player, but the team might have to use a 2nd rd pick to get him, with all the defensive needs, more of a luxury.
