thats an OK draft..but leaves alot to be desired. Grant Might be the only true starter in that scenario. We need 3 at a minimum.

Twyman is raw has a very high ceiling..a rotational guy at best for the first 2 years. Zaven Collins would be a luxury pick and reach at 10. Maybe I am nuts for thinking Surtain should be the pick at 10. The kid is just so rounded. How do you pass that up?

BTW..if Pitts is on the board at 10 and Surtain is gone, its a no brainer..got to take Pitts. He's a Randy Moss type from the TE position and a even better kid off the field. Jerry would be kicking himself if he passed him up. One guy though we keep overlooking is Brevin Jordan. He's freaky good too.

Hmmm......so based on this, the front sees LBer as a top priority and/or like Collins a lot more than Farley or Surtain. But it actually makes sense when you think about it. If reports are true, we can probably still find a starting CB in 2nd round. As for LBer with our first......Jaylon's contract has an out next year ( notice they didn't restructure ) and LVE will likely play on the 5th year option.

Barf.

Not a fan of Molden at #44

Yeah, not quite feeling it. There were some decent picks in there - Banks, if healthy, is good enough to compete for the starting LG spot. Grant in the 4th is solid.

Other than that.............. I don't have an issue with Collins but at 10, that seems quite rich. I'd have gone McNeill in the 2nd over Molden. I don't have much of an issue with Twyman but with Nixon sitting there, I'd have preferred him.

1 - Collins, LB
I like Collins, a lot actually, but drafting him at 10 would reek of the Cowboys' Front Office's constant attempts to appear clever.

2 - Molden, CB (McNeill was on the board)
Great nickel, like him a lot too, who starts at CB?

3 - Twyman, DT (Daviyon Nixon was still on the board)
Please God no.

3 - Banks, OG
Aaron Banks? Like his size, not sure I like him this high.

4 - Grant, S
This is more where I feel his value is. Draftniks are currently way higher on him.

4 - Granson, TE
Like this kid, know him some from getting to be around SMU some. Feels high.

5 - Imatorbhebhe, WR
Another kid I know from his USC days. Way too high. Athletically gifted but can't stay healthy.

6 - Wallow, LB
Steal here. Bigtime. I'm just wondering why we drafted two LB's and zero kids who can play outside CB.

6 - Loudermilk, DE/DT
7 - Dalman, C
Wasted picks. I don't expect greatness in the 6th and 7th round but draft guys who have a chance.

Grade F draft for me.

What do you think of this? Add John Johnson at S and Tomlinson at DT in FA, then draft Pitts at #10. After that LB, CB, DE, OT, etc.

I LOVE THAT IDEA/COMBO. Works for me..and the fit is good.

Then we’d have...

DE—Lawrence, Gregory, Armstrong, Draft, Anae, whoever else
DT—Tomlinson, Gallimore, Hill, Woods, Draft
DB—Johnson, Diggs, Wilson, Brown, Awuzie, Draft, Draft, whomever else
LB—Smith, LVE, Thomas, Giff, Draft, Draft

Think Quinn could make a defense go from 29-31 to 15-20 in year one? Pair that with a healthier OL, Dak, Jarwin, Pitts, etc. Nowhere to go but up, right?

I really do. No reason we can't make strides with the proper player. What we need is just football players that are not divas or worried about their "platform" or brand away from field. We need Gym rats that are solely focused on their jobs and are passionate about it. High FB IQ matters alot. To me, those types of players is what Quinn is lookin for. Donny Wilson and Gallimore, Diggs are the 3 dudes Im building around on defense. Everyone else needs to be put on notice..even Tank. Too many free rides around here..we got soft. Time that dudes start fearing for their jobs then I bet we start flushing out the weaklings and getting better.
