I have a feeling the Earl Thomas fantasies are going to come true next season. I think ET signs for a very team friendly deal to play with his old coach. I'm not saying I hope that happens but I got a feeling.

I'd take Suh for a 1 year deal if the price is right.

Going to take 2-3 seasons to address and fix the problems this team/organization has. Hoping they can be contenders in 2-3 seasons at the latest. Dallas has an easy schedule this season so I'm hoping they can at least have a good upcoming season but I dont expect it.

Gallup?
No one is giving a 1st for Gallup. I don't think even a 2nd. I'll take a 3rd and like it. More optimistically, PFF wrote of a scenario of Miami giving us their 3rd and 4th.

Maybe Gallup brings us a 4th round comp pick, meaning *bottom* of the 4th. That's the ground floor from which to judge a trade for our one remaining year of Gallup.

Heard it was a 3rd round comp pick? I say try trade him and see if you can get a round higher pick then whatever the comp is. If not just keep him and he will walk after the season and just take the comp pick.

I think we definitely could get a late first for Gallup . That doesn’t mean we’re going to treat him I think we should get rid of Cooper first

cooper is only 26 and by far the better receiver. Don’t forget that a chunck of Gallup’s success is bc he’s been the number 2 guy so drawing 2nd best coverage which helps .

he’s good but he’s not Amari and further more Amari is in his prime on a contract for the next few years....you don’t trade him unles you get the farm

If this team could get a late first for Gallup then they will have gotten use out of him plus gotten more value back than it cost to get him which would be smart business

That's about where I am.

4th round comp picks are the 10-15mil range. IMO, more likely he gets less than more than that in free agency. So, take bump from 4th comp pick to third real pick as good profit, and move on. If we can't get a 4th, just keep him for another year.

Cowboys have many problems that have not been addressed. Fix It:
  1. Contact Dolphins and Tennessee and send a 6th round pick Dolphins to and 7th round to Titans for the rights to Isaiah Wilson, OL. Joe Philbin is an excellent OL coach and Wilson is an A+ athlete at OG/OT.
  2. Sign Ndamukong Suh DT, team him up with your young DTs and you improve immediately.
  3. Sign Alvin "Bud" Dupree DE/OLB
  4. Malik Hooker S (1 year deal)
  5. Sign Eric Reid, FS/SS his 4.50 speed, Safety flex. Had a year off with new perspective. Was a locker room leader in Carolina and SF. Only true freshman to start at LSU (with Petersen, Claiborne, and the Honey Badger).
  6. Sign Trai Turner OG. Lets just get Connor Williams out of the starting line up and move on.
If you really look at the players, no one except for Turner and Dupree will you have teams knocking down the door down to sign them. However, all are A plus athletes at their positions.

Trade Galloway for 2022 1st round pick. If no takers keep him and trade him during the season when teams will be looking for WRs. This draft (2021) is too risking to trade a proven starter.

Use all the draft picks in the draft as it will be a crap shot. The best available player in every round will play defense. Unless those OT are on the board at no. 10, move down and collect raffle picks. If you can get a young starters that can play on the last year of their rookie deals with teams moving on, make the trade with these picks. We should have done this for Minkah Fitzpatrick.

This is the draft you find the team that is dumping 3-4 year defensive players not wanting to pay them.

Isiah Wilson is trash. Eric Reid isn't the kind of divisive figure we need in the locker room. Thats why nobody signed him last year. Don't pretend he wanted to take a year off.

Trade Galloway? LOL You mean Gallup... No! bad idea.
it's not a bad idea. If you can get a proven starter on defense its worth it. Not going to be able to afford him next year. This defense is gosh awful.

Cooper disappears as we know vs #1 cb's.

and all this time I thought the objective was try and collect and retain talent.
We are not even a good team and we actually have threads about how to dump good talent.
What an embarrassment of riches.

...no team makes it to the superbowl because they have the greatest guards in the league.....

Larry Allen would like to have a conversation with you.

jk....I totally agree. When we one that first Superbowl in the 90's, we were the youngest team in the league. I think you try to plug holes in FA with either a homerun or two...and then people to fill holes that don't cost much. But you make those people have to beat the rookies in camp. Unless there's a stark difference, roll with the rookies.

Every Dallas Team that won a Lombardi had at the last top level guards. LA is the only HOF amongst them but several are in that conversation. John Niland, Nate Newton. Maybe they never will get there but are worthy of consideration.

ok, so you want to tell me Aikma, Emitt, Haley, Irvin, Johnson had nothing to do with it? Allen was great. the greatest of all time, but after those guys retired, he didn't make it back... again I loved Allen..... he was the greatest guard and perhaps top 5 OL man regardless of position who ever played the game

People need to stop with the trading of Gallup. This is worse than all of the Dak threads.
