Hello everyone and welcome to another mock draft from me. I've decided to do things a bit differently with this draft. It's still from First-Pick, and there were no trades accepted in this scenario for the purpose of this demonstration. Of course, there will be the videos and the explanations. However, I've decided to try a slightly different approach to this mock draft. I hope you enjoy reading it it as much as I did doing it.
Round 1 Pick 10: Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama (B+)
Christian Barmore, DT 6'5" and 310lbs. I think Christian Barmore is a 1st round caliber DT. While I like Tufele, I got bored with constantly drafting Tufele in round 2. Also, I like the size that Barmore has, He's a big player, and I think he'd be a nice starter along side with Neville Gallimore. Monster player he is! A good run stopper which we were bad at last season, and he's quick!! He's an excellent pass rusher for a DT at his size. Look what he did in the national championship. At 0:30, he shuts down a run on a critical play in the National Championship. Also, look at how much he harassed the Ohio State QB in the National Championship. With a chap like him harassing the QB and the RB, we should be able to give our defence with Quinn a fighting chance to be successful this year. More importantly, he should be helpful in getting our offense the ball in shorter field position. Oh, and his harassing the QB and RB should help us get more takeaways on defence, such as the strip fumble he caused against LSU.
Round 2 Pick 12: Trevon Moehrig, FS/SS, TCU (A)
Trevon Moehrig, S 6'2" and 202 lbs. Solid S fixing a position of significant need. He's a ball hawk, and he reminds me a bit of Ed Reed with the way he attacks the ball. Moehrig would give us quite the safety upgrade, which is a massive need. Also, with Barmore in round 1, he'd be able to develop nicely and tidy up after the way Barmore would attack the QB and RB.
Round 3 Pick 11: Baron Browning, ILB/OLB, Ohio State (A)
Baron Browning 6'3" and 240 lbs. He fits another need that we have at LB. He attacks the ball carrier well, and he's excellent in coverage. He's exactly what I think we'd need at LB. I love the way he attacks the ball when he tackles the ball carrier. Notice against Michigan State how he strips the ball from the ball carrier. He doesn't just tackle him, he strips the ball. We have been lacking that for the last few seasons from our LBers. He does that against Alabama too. Notice how he knocks the ball loose from Mac Jones as he's sacking him. How nice would it be to not only get sacks, but have the ball come loose to give our O a shorter field position?
Round 3 Pick 35 (COMP): TeDarrell Slaton, DT, Florida (A+)
TeDarrell Slaton, 6'5" and 240 lbs. How about another DT who is a 1T? Especially one that's also very quick like Slaton is? This is one you've probably seen from my drafts along with Moehrig. This is the part of the draft where I start to select players that you've seen before, but in a different order because of how highly I think of a few players. Also got quite lucky with the next player. Anyway, he stops the run very well. This double dip at DT will really help us further in stopping the run, and Barrmore and Slaton will help with attacking the QB from the middle.
Round 4 Pick 10: Jabril Cox, ILB/OLB, LSU (A+)
Jabril Cox, LB 6'3" and 232 lbs. He transferred to LSU from North Dakota State. However, the best video that I saw of him while he was at LSU had NSFW music that I deemed against forum rules. Thus, I'm using the video here. You've probably seen this player before from me, but I really like him too. Double dip at LB, and he's an excellent tackler. Not quite the ball attacker that Browning is, but Cox is excellent at attacking the run. I saw in a Senior Bowl video I saw of him doing very well in 1 on 1 coverage. Again, not quite as good as Browning, but Cox is good at it nonetheless. Quite lucky to get him here.
Round 4 Pick 33 (COMP): Dyami Brown, WR, North Carolina (A+)

Dyami Brown, WR 6'0" and 185 lbs. Solid WR from NC who I think can develop into a nice replacement for Gallup if we can't keep him after this season. Even if we can, he'd give us a nice 4th or 5th receiver going forward if we keep Gallup beyond this season. Also, according to Wikipedia, he's also apparently a KR too. He'd be quite the player for us.
Round 5 Pick 34 (COMP): Tay Gowan, CB, Central Florida (A+)

Tay Gowan, CB 6'2" and 185 lbs. One of my favourite CBs in the draft. Quite honestly, he might just be my favourite CB in the draft. He's not as talented as Surtain or Farley. However, I love the heart he has, his story, and just the way he plays the pass. He'll make an excellent replacement for Jourdan Lewis if we don't keep him. In fact, I think he's a much more talented CB than Lewis from what I see. He opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID concerns. I'd HAPPILY take him in round 5, and I don't think he'd last beyond the 5th round.
Round 6 Pick 8: Camryn Bynum, CB, California (A+)

Camryn Bynum, CB 6'0" and 200 lbs. Bynum is a CB who I think would make quite the competition for Anthony Brown. I think he's quite a bit better than Bynum, and I like the way he attacks the ball. I think he'd make an excellent slot CB. This is another player that you'll probably recognise from my other drafts.
Round 6 Pick 42 (COMP): Janarius Robinson, DE/OLB, Florida State (A+)

Janarius Robinson, DE 6'5" and 260 lbs. He's a tall, quick, and powerful DE. Solid in pass rush. Not a well known prospect. I think he's an underrated DE who we would do well to draft. He's also very good against runs to the outside, which is quite helpful.
Round 7 Pick 10: Damar Hamlin, FS/SS, Pittsburgh (A+)

Damar Hamlin, 6'1: and 195 lbs. Damar Hamlin is a hard hitting safety. Think Roy Williams with the way he hits. He'll need some coaching so that he can keep his hits legal when covering the pass. He's also excellent in run coverage. He's sort of a classic SS with the way he hits. He's no slouch to attacking the ball either. You'll notice against Clemson where he nearly intercepts Trevor Lawrence, who's likely to be the number 1 overall pick. He'd give us another nice safety option. He'd be a steal in round 7.
